I know it is premature but more and more news regarding season 2 is coming out by the weeks. So i thought an early discussion would be nice.

Here's what we know so far

Season Two graduates from the college campus and into an all-new location, as a terrifyingly funny murder mystery will begin once again. This time, the show will be set in a hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.

The Chanels have been legally released from the asylum and will be attending medical school to study to become doctors. The Chanels will be freed in a "Making a Murderer" kind of way

After abolishing the college Greek system and travelling the world in search of a new mission, Cathy Munsch has decided to buy and run the hospital where the Chanels are enrolled with the goal of taking on incurable cases and fixing the broken system.

Zayday, Hestor and Chad will also return.

There will be three new male cast members played by John Stamos, Taylor Lautner and James Earl.

There will be a two year time jump between the first and second seasons

Season one definitely had it's flaws but overall I found it really enjoyable, especially the characters of Chanel #3 and Denise Hemphill, so I'm looking forward to this.

Why is this in Cult, Sci-fi and fantasy?

It hardly qualifies for cult like status. It certainly isn't Sci-fi, ok it's pretty fantastical, but the same could be said of most US shows these days.

I actually created this thread in the US shows section. I then queried whether it should be moved to the Cult section to the Mods and they moved it here. If they didn't think it belonged here, I don't think they would of done so.

I think it belongs here personally.

I think it if had remained where i created it originally, i can guarantee someone would of made a post saying it didn't belong there.

It's just a bee in my bonnet at times just what becomes cult, why are certain shows classed as cult, I sometimes think it must be that have been going a while despite no one watching it.

Or it's been on so long it 'deserves' to be cult tv.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Scream Queens in the guilty sort of way. I just think it was posted in the right forum originally.

Skyler Samuels who played Grace has been confirmed to not be returning, but has expressed interest in returning for potential future seasons.

I loved this show, but I thought it got horrible ratings? Surprised to see it coming back. I wasn't sure if they'd even air all the first season or dump it online.

It's ratings could of been better but most of FOX's new shows bombed (apart from Lucifer) and this did slightly better than a few others, so FOX had to cave in and renew something.

It had great catch-up ratings so, given the poor state of FOX's other shows' ratings, it made the cut for renewal.

Well I'll definitely give it a shot, but I have trouble with the concept of season 2. If they wanted a hospital setting, they could have gone with a mostly new cast. If they wanted to keep the cast, they could have gone with a less drastic change of setting that is easier to justify these characters fitting in. But putting the sorority girls and others into a hospital is bizarre.

The first season was frequently bizarre, yes, but it was heightened reality. It took some stereotype grounded in reality and bent it to the point of absurdity. This doesn't seem like heightened reality, it just seems to no longer care about making sense. We'll see. Maybe it will be justified. But Ryan Murphy productions tend to fall apart pretty quickly, so if it seems like a bad idea on the face of it, it might just be because it really is one. Hope they prove me wrong.

Decent start I thought, not amazing by any means and was fairly predictable, but it got the job done of transitioning between the setting for Series 1 and Series 2.

As for potential suspects, Taylor Lautner's character mentioned how he was a doctor because his family received poor medical care so that instantly makes him the most obvious, and seeing as Series 1 had the most obvious character as the main killer, well...

Also John Stamos' hand clearly has a mind of its own, and murdering tendencies, so there's that. Not to mention the evil nurse is an obviously over the top Red Herring.

I felt the episode was a bit low on laughs though, if they can bring back the humour going forward then this should be a good season

The 'Ghosting' routine was pretty hilarious though. Happy with it so far. I'll miss it being so 'Clueless' now, but I think they've set up something interesting here.

Really enjoyed it, kinda glad they got rid of Grace, not too sure about Zayday.
Channel 1 stripping whilst watching Stamos in the shower was hilarious.

Too early make any sort of prediction, though I do think there's more to Chamberlain Jackson, also hope its not the last of Jerry O'Connell
