I fully expect all 5 members of One Direction will make a comeback in a few years time.
In the meantime, at least we know which artist is going to knock Drake off the UK #1 spot.
We've just got to put up with One Dance at #1 until Harry releases his debut solo single.
So much for their claim that they'd not release solo material during their break.

Yes, until the 10,20,30 year nostalgia reunion 'we're doing it for the fans and not to boost our bank balance' tour.
If we ever get the World Cup, expect to see them rolled out with Harry shoehorned into a pair of 38 inch waist leather skinnies for the opening ceremony

I really doubt Zayn would rejoin, unless they made the kind of music he likes. But I doubt they'd ever do that as well. I'm sure the other four boys will get back eventually, but I'm expecting more of a Take That length gap until then.

No way will One Direction return in 10 year times. Take That split in 1996, and made their comeback in 2006. Gary and Robbie put their differences aside and became mates. Well, they had plenty chance to grow up and mature in those 10 years.
I give it no more than 5 years for One Direction. In fact, 2020 would seem like a good enough year to wheel the boys back out. It would also mark 10 years since they were on X Factor. Simon Cowell will put the boys through a strict health and fitness regime to ensure they're good enough to make their first public appearance together as a 5 piece. Zayn and the others will have made up well before then. Whose to say the whole fall out was all part of the media plan anyways? They're probably all really good mates behind closed doors and laughing at those who fall for the media spin.

2020 would be their 10th anniversary too so it is possible but I see them being a four piece rather than a 5. They may also still pursue sole projects when they return like Gary has been doing since take that or like Jared Leto does with 30 seconds to mars.
None of them are the types to put on weight, so I don't see Harry needing to be 'shoe-horned into a pair of 38 inch waist jeans' in ten years' time? Did you mean '28 inch' maybe? They are all pretty skinny and have to work hard just to build muscle. Louis and Niall are tiny.
Skinny Zayn has another big photoshoot in Paper magazine this month. He seems to be embracing a modelling role. He must know he will soon be impossible for venues to insure if he carries on cancelling appearances at the last minute.
Harry is a superb on stage and has such a fantastic work ethic. He wants to be the new Chris Martin but that might be a bit ambitious .
