Last 16: Croatia vs Portugal - (25/6/16) KO 8pm, ITV1/HD
Coverage of the game will also be broadcast online at ITV Hub and on BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.
Only 3 previous meetings between the nations with Portugal winning all of them. Croatia have only lost 1 game in their last 10 games at the Euros and are unbeaten in their last 10 internationals. They have never won a knockout game at the European Championship. Portugal became the first team to draw all 3 group matches at the Euros. They are unbeaten in their last 10 competitive games, winning 7 of them. Ronaldo has now attempted 40 direct free-kicks at major tournaments. He has failed to score with every effort. |

This could be a beauty on paper but how often do games like this end up being settled with a single goal and about 12 yellow cards?
I'll take Portugal to nick it. They do have a good record in knockout football. |

This one could get tasty, neither side is known for taking defeat on the chin even when its deserved, its always someoneelses fault. Yellows galore in between some great moments of football skill

really want croatia to win this but have a nagging feeling that portugal will be victorious... wouldn't surprise me if this one went to penalties.

Have predicted a Portugal win, but really, really would love Croatia to do so.
Sorry, I know it is illogical, but every time I see Ronaldo's smirking gob, I really want something (or someone) to wipe it off his face. He is one of the most talented footballers to grace the game, but his whole demeanour stinks and his comments after the Iceland game simply reinforced that. |

The line-ups:
Croatia: Subasic, Srna, Corluka, Vida, Strinic, Modric, Badelj, Brozovic, Rakitic, Perisic, Mandzukic. Portugal: Rui Patricio, Cedric, Pepe, Fonte, Guerreiro, Carvalho, Gomes, Adrien, Mario, Nani, Ronaldo. Carlos Velasco Carballo of Spain will referee. |

Ronaldo to ease himself into the lead for the Golden Boot. Pepe sent off which allows Croatia to make a game of it and pull back from 2-0 to lose 3-2 in the 93rd minute.
Hey, I've just sat through two awful games of football, I'm allowed a bit of fantasy about this one. |

If Ronaldo scores tonight he will draw level with Michel Platini on 9 goals in European Championship finals. The difference being, though, Ronaldo would have done it across four tournaments, Platini did it in one.

I'm looking forward to this one, could be the game of the tournament so far. I think Croatia will edge it 2-1.

Surely the two kits would stand out more if Portugal wore their normal maroon?

I was thinking the same. I thought the idea was one side wore light, the other dark, but both these kits are surely classed as light?

One is red & white and the other green. Hardly a problem telling them apart.

I'm not sure why they got Portugal to change though. The two kits would be different enough to be able to tell between them.

Maybe UEFA don't have the same rule for the Euros? |

This match is as bad as the last one. What the hell has happened to good football ? this is boring.
