Coverage of the game will also be on talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5 Live and on the BBC Sport website and App.

This will be the 11th meeting between the nations with the Swiss only having won once in the previous 10. The Poles have only failed to score once against their opponents.

Switzerland have only won 2 of their 12 matches at the Euros. The last time they made it through a knockout round was way back in the 1938 World Cup.

In 9 previous matches at the Euros Poland have never scored more than once in a game. Their talisman, Robert Lewandowski, has now failed to score or make an assist in the competition for 523 minutes.

the poles should win this one but the swiss can be a stubborn side so i wouldn't be surprised to see this one go to extra time or beyond...

How nice it is to get back to the football and at least temporarily distract ourselves from the sourness of the other Euro-related happening of the last 36 hours.

It's also nice to get to the knockout stages and say goodbye to permutations and teams playing to achieve certain results; now it's simply a case of teams attacking to try and win a match and go through to the next round.

I thought both Switzerland and Poland were underwhelming in the group stage but I think Switzerland can raise their game to a higher level than the Poles and will edge them out in the end.

It's a knockout.

Good chance squandered for Poland already.

Poland should lead!

The awful mistake from the Swiss defender was matched by the awful mistake by Milik in not finding the net.

Actually it was Sommer's throw-out that created the problem.

Milik misses another sitter, I'm losing count with him.

He's got 11 in 29 for Poland and scored 21 goals for Ajax last season so maybe he's just having one of those tournaments.

Two good sides, aren't they? Knockout international football is the best.

And his poor tournament form should be reason enough to bench him if they really want to win.

Fair enough, but Lewandowski hasn't shown up either yet, do you bench him too?

I think I would tbh, you need your strikers to show up.

Lewandowski's probably in the same situation as Ronaldo was earlier in the week; he just needs one goal and one spark and that'll get him back towards his usual level of form.

For the sake of Poland I hope so.

Another good chance goes begging. Krychowiak should have done better with the header.
