It's getting to the point where they may as well not bother with ET and just go straight to pens...or have the shoot-out first.

Having said that, that was a great chance for Switzerland.
Noooo! Then the team that wins the shoot-out sits ten men behind the ball for 30 minutes.

Should bring in number of shots on target in extra time if still all square after the extra 30 mins. This would force a more attacking approach.

Then you'd just have teams shooting from 30 yards all the way through extra time.

For someone as thrifty as Wenger, he really got knocked for this Xhaka bloke. I know it's only been 4 games but for someone who cost 35 million, you'd expect him to be running the show for Switzerland Being a CM

Do Poland not know there's a goal up the pitch? They could at least try put the ball in it instead of camping in their penalty box.

Well done Seferovic, managing to scramble the ball away in front of an open goal.

And it's penalties.

Extra time was poor, the only attacking we saw was from the Swiss for the first five minutes of the second period.

Yay penalties. Always fun when we're not involved.

Switch goalies and I think Switzerland would have won this relatively easily. Have to fancy Poland with the superior goalie for penalties.

Very disappointed with Poland since the half-time break. They've barely been in the game since then, which probably means they will now win the shoot-out.

Most times the team I want to win lose on pens, so I think Poland will go through.

The News abandoned too but another scheduled after the other match and a later one so seemed like an extra one at 4.0 anyway.
