For crying out loud. There's 2 episodes in London. The rest of it is exotic location as far as they eye can see. I think you'll cope!
That's a quarter of the new series of which the best part is usually the scenery........
Hope it works but suspect it will be disappointing

First things first. I know someone started a series 6 thread about a month ago- but DS search engine is still useless. Unless you type in thread title EXACTLY it won't come up on a search (so even one word different means it won't find it).

Anyway I DID TRY to find it- went back as far as 22nd Dec, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

New series starts tonight

Spoiler follows-

You can find the earlier thread by googling something like "Digitalspy forum Death in Paradise" instead of using Digitalspy's own search engine.

For future reference, for any programme thread you can't find.

If you'd Googled "Digital Spy Death in Paradise."

You'd have found the thread quite quickly.

That's the series 5 thread. Someone definitely started a series 6 thread, but it only got as far as about 6 posts

The write-up in my TV guide says that a double episode spanning eps 5 & 6 will be partly set and filmed in London.

Death in Paradise is usually filmed in Guadeloupe as many people will already know.

True. But how pathetic. When is the new and improved Digital Spy and their less than moronic search engine supposed to come out. Using programmers in Third World Countries are they, as does the U.S.?

How many threads do we need?
There's some posts about the new series in the long running thread.

Well, seeing as that specifically referred to series 5 there clearly needs to be another one for 6.

Seems the mistake I made was searching for series 6 rather than season 6 but a half decent DS search engine should still have found the thread I wanted.

Now, with a bit of luck, the next post will actually be about the programme. I don't watch and post at same time, so my next post will either be after 10 pm, or tomorrow morning.

Well.

On topic.

It warms me up to see the island views in January, that's the main reason I watch and the story second.

Not sure why there is 2 threads about the new series but I'm posting in this one.

Great having it back and a good mystery to start

Loved it as usual. Death in Paradise has a certain charm to it. There's humour, warm weather and beaches, and there's always a Jonathan Creek-esque mystery to solve.

Spoiler alert by the way:
Little niggle though, when the woman left open the door to let her accomplices back in at around 9:30 in the morning, wouldn't the CCTV footage have shown them rushing in with an empty stretcher and placing the torches back? Did the police really only watch the footage of the "victim" leaving, and did they not decide to watch any of the footage from the morning?

That said, I'm happy I'll be back to Saint Marie for the next couple of weeks.

I'm probably getting confused, I remember reading about a programme where they filmed stuff in a studio then decamped to somewhere exotic for the rest of it. Not sure what show it was though... Wikipedia says the police station in DIP is an old church hall so it seems I'm wrong.
I know "Benidorm" is filmed in a make shift studio in Spain for scenes that feature inside the hotel reception. Perhaps you were thinking about that?

The CCTV only covered the main area. The doorway and the torch storage area weren't in shot. If they had been they wouldn't have been able to get the stretcher out in the first place without being caught on tape and it would have been obvious that the victim had not left under his own steam and carrying a torch. The shots only showed the victim (or what appeared to be him) preparing to leave and heading toward the doorway. After that all is dark!
