Shocking dive for the penalty.
Pogba hardly touched him

Shane Long's made a career out of it.

No one calling it out but he was playing for it from the very start. You can always tell by looking at how they throw their legs when they go down.

Townsend saying it was a stone wall penalty. Am I the only one that thought it was a blatant dive?

Best of luck to the Irish! Beware of last minute goals.
And first minute ones!

No, I agree. No idea how the heck Townsend thinks that's a stonewall penalty.

It wasn't blatant but it was soft.

Dive or not, I still think that Pogba was silly to make a challenge like that in the box so early on.

Don't have much sympathy for the French though, they've had a fair few hometown decisions over the years because of who they are (not just the Henry incident).

Don't know why anyone complained about the pen. We see softer ones given week in, week out in the premiership.

OK. I've just gone back in time to Stuttgart 1988. This is going to take years off of me. Someone hold me!

We know all about them, there's a reason why every Irish football fan knows the capital of FYR Macedonia.

From an enterntainment POV it's the best thing that could have happened to this game. Now we'll see what France are made of.....

Indeed, it's nearly been talked of as a blatant dive by Long with zero contact by Pogba but that's totally overstating things.

Vital header away by Duffy there with Giroud waiting to put the ball in behind him.
