The cards really should've been reset after the group stages, so many players will miss the 1/4 Finals due to this stupidity and silly bookings.

Best performance from them in years : they haven't even tried to defend their 1-0 lead

The host nation are out of the Euros. The Irish go through in a gallant storming fashion

Giroud is an absolute passenger up front for France. No movement, no flicks, nothing.
Ireland could quite comfortably see this out I feel as Griezmann looks out of touch as well ... |

They haven't let them play their game, closed them down and denied them the wings. It isn't pretty, but so far effective. Expect France to overwhelm them in the second half, the Irish will wilt I feel as the game goes on. |

OMG just come in from shopping. Huge upset on the cards as they say France haven't played well.

This tournament has all been about defence.
The more organised teams who have stifled opposition have prevailed. Wales were so fortunate to win last night, this tournament has been about teams like NI and Iceland, hence the low scoring. |

I honestly think Ireland have another goal in them : they actually look the better side and France look a mess
I don't expect the Irish to drop their level of performance but you've got to think that France will come out mounting some sort of response - even if substitutions aren't made. |

After the group stages all the teams look totally knackered.
There are going to be a lot of slow, low scoring games coming up. |

Will that still be the case after half time, though?

I thought Koscielny was going to bury that.
