I've had this phone for about 6 months, running Android 5.0 on Virgin Mobile, and I've been quite happy with it, but just recently it's started to go a little loopy.
On occasion it's come up with a message saying that the there's no service as there's no SIM card fitted, which of course there is, and from the middle of this week I've been unable to get into Google Play, the Zedge App (the screen goes blank and I just get the buffering circle going around in the centre of the screen) and now Facebook won't update and hasn't since Thursday.
I can get online, no problem, through Chrome, and my other on-line apps, such as banking, seem to work okay.
Is this a system issue, a problem with the SIM, or is the phone on the way out?

Worth trying a backup and factory reset perhaps?

Thanks for the above.

Did the deed yesterday afternoon, and seems to have corrected the problem. Facebook, Google Play all seem to be running okay now.

Someone on another forum mentioned there's an issue with the SIM possibly not touching the contacts correctly, so have followed a suggestion of putting a small bit of paper 'behind' the SIM card so it's a snugger fit.

Now just have to remember all the apps I had, though it's been quite a good exercise as I'm starting with a 'new' phone so have just downloaded essentials for now.

What do you mean remember the apps you had? Just restore from your Google account, job sorted.

(Ahem) Of course.

I knew that

I may just be a little more selective as to which I reload.

Thanks
