It does seem rather fashionable to hate them and Chris Martin doesn't it .
I've witnessed supposedly intelligent people scream a torrent abuse when Coldplays name is simply brought up in conversation .
It's quite ridiculous , of course , as are the claims that ALL their songs sound like funeral dirges . Just daft .
