Last 16: Italy vs Spain - (27/6/16) KO 5pm, BBC1/HD
Coverage of the game will also be on talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5 Live and on the BBC Sport website and App.
This will be the 35th encounter between the nations. The record is perfectly balanced so far with 10 wins each and 14 draws. It will also be the sixth encounter between them in the European Championships making this the most played fixture in the history of the tournament. Italy's last competitive win against Spain was a 2-1 victory in the quarter-finals of the 1994 World Cup. Since then, Spain have lost just one of 11 games against their opponents (including friendlies), winning four matches and drawing six (two penalty shoot-outs counted as draws). Defeat to the Republic of Ireland was the Azzurri's first defeat in 13 competitive games under Antonio Conte. Defeat here would see Italy lose consecutive games at the European Championship finals for the first time. The Spanish have now lost 3 of their last 6 games at the World Cup and European Championship - as many defeats as in their previous 31 major tournament games. |

Most difficult match of the round to call. Because of Silva's return to form, I think Spain will edge this game by the odd goal.

I want Italy to win for two reasons - 1) I'm half-Italian and 2) We need to keep hearing that anthem.
Forza Azzurri. |

When the queen pops it, I hope we get something even half as stirring as Italy's anthem.

Front rows retreating from the weather, a few bruising centre backs on the pitch. This is football.

you'd think there will be some long rangers coming in to test the keepers on this surface now. |

Great save by de Gea!
Pelle beat his man Busquets so easily there. |

Even if it's a result of players going arse over tit in the rain, I'll be disappointed if we don't see a few goals in this.

Another brilliant save by de Gea!
Spanish defence looking pretty weak right now. |
