He isn't the only one. Time for the whole FA to go. We need a proper revamp now.

Gareth Southgate is the bookies favourite to replace Roy. Please let it be true. He'd be a brilliant choice to lead our young warriors forward at the next World Cup.

There is no way Hodgson will be the Eng manager after this. I hope he does the honorable thing and go and not hang about, take Lewington with him too.
At least Erikssson got us the quarter finals when he was manager

I'm keeping my flags up but only for Wales now. England were frankly lucky to get through to this match

England - a bunch of players played out of position with no clear plan.

Glad we lost to Iceland rather than Portugal or some would make the excuse of them having Ronaldo. This way there can be no excuse, no hiding place. Utter humiliation

That was even worse than the World cup exit. Hard to believe that England's second half performance could be worse than the first. As much as Roy clearly has to go, at least six of those players should hang their heads in shame for the way they played tonight.
But well done Iceland. |

The frightening thing for England is that France will probably be a game too far for Iceland and they will be taken apart

Not only is this England team overrated but they have delusions of grandeur as well; that's what they get. Love, love this result
. Eliminated by Iceland 😂😂. Iceland 😂. |

Wake up calls don't come bigger than that.
We have just been shown the starkest example possibly in our lives of how far England have sunk in international football. The finest players in the English game have been outperformed by a team of decent but greatly unspectacular professional simply because they played as that - a team. That's what it all boils down to in the end. We are now left to deal with the realisation that England is now an average football nation. |
