Glenn Hoddle, there's another incompetent no mark of a manager. Had prime Scholes, prime Beckham, good Shearer, prime Michael Owen, Campbell in defence and finished 2nd to Romania in group stages and went out to the 1st decent team he met. What makes ITV think anyone cares what that clown has to say?

You can see it now. Knocked out at the group stage in World Cup 2018 with Southgate at the healm. DS angry posts slating England in 100 page thread.

David Cameron.
He has experience of organising over-priveleged time wasters.

Hindsight. You never knew this lot would get knocked out to a country with the same population size as Coventry.

Has Rooney retired from international yet!?

We are going to hear the press go on and on about Redknapp for the job, I'd rather have Allardyce than that joker.

You only have to listen to one match with him commentating to know he's a complete and utter moron. Im putting any success he's ever had down to Eileen Drewery.

Good point from Pougatch about how the national team's failures will be forgotten and everything will look rosy in the English football garden when the Premier League restarts in six weeks.

I'm not sure we'll see Rooney play for England again.

That list of favourites doesn't feel me with confidence at all. They are all the same type of manager we always go with.

Why don't we go for a nutcase, there must be another manager out there like Conte.

That was Roys downfall

He was so obsessed with playing Rooney in midfield

If only Iceland took a proper tip from Cov and collapsed miserably in the second half.

A lot of the time you see a pick that wasn't on the original list of favourites. I hope that's the case here, as it just seems to be the nearest English fellas plus Arsene Wenger.

Pathetic statement from Roy, should've just released it to the press instead of saying it

I think we may as well just accept the fact that the England team will never get it right.

These players we have aren't that bad week in week out. Just like the previous "golden generations". Yet when it comes to England we have this time and time again.

How many times have the FA had a route and branch enquiry and come out with a new plan to improve things. Never works.

FA go for big money vanity projects like the FA academy and Wembley. Get in some Yes men and it all starts again.
