This song in particular is so underrated but my favourite from Dannii;

Great video too and Dannii looks blooming gorgeous”

I absolutely loved that track back in 2004, can't believe it was that long ago I think it only got to something like number seven in the charts and when you look at the crap that was ahead of it she should have got the number one. Likewise I remember the year before that when she released I Begin to Wonder and everybody thought she'd get her first number one but she had to settle for number two behind Christina Aguilera and her dreary Beautiful

"Lately" was a good song though

No disrespect to Dannii Minogue but even further down time and we had Crystal Waters, Rozalla and Kym Sims already releasing club anthems that also went straight into the charts

Yeah but they didn't have the same pop and sex appeal of Dannii.

I did notice on a tv show after their comeback that her vocals seemed really good.

Yessss I have loved all of Dannii's work since she released Girl, such a shame Dannii has never got a lot of credit for all her success on the dance charts.

As for LSL I always felt her stuff was very naff no matter how hard she tried. Haven't heard of LSL in years though, she seems to have faded into obscurity...

Now you're talking, that's real dance music with great vocals, add CeCe Peniston & Alison Limerick to that list.
I thought Steps were guff, I do remember that Lisa Scott Lee was the prettiest of the three girls in the group in my opinion.

Love that song.

I loved a bit of Steps - but that did make me a laugh

I was a young teenager around the time Lisa Scott-Lee was releasing her solo material. My friends & I had been into Steps, which as part of she had written & sung a couple of really good (in our opinion at the time) songs:

Just Like the First Time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeoEth9iK_Y
Never Get Over You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxlCUo6tFow

We were also really into dance music & many of it's sub-genres at the time. When she came out with "Lately", it was quite clearly a cash in on what the dance artists were doing but with worse production & sub-par vocals.

She can sing & write fine but much of her solo material was poor & certainly not "ahead of it's time". It was all a bit sad really & things like the video below just didn't seem to suit her:

I'd love to hear some new stuff from her though.

I love Make It Last Forever too, did you like Get It On?

I didn't mind Too Far Gone, obviously couldn't recreate the success like she did with Steps. Just a shame that Claire Richards never launched a solo career. Think she would have been successful. Should never have teamed up with H.
