Peanut butter! Preferred brand for making cookies?

Good morning all

I recently made some peanut butter and dark chocolate cookies for the first time. They turned out pretty well - nice shape & colour, good hit of chocolate and tasted very nice too. However, I could hardly taste the peanut butter. I used good ole Sun Pat smooth.

Is another brand that might be better to use? Any recommendations?

They make it too dry these days, I do like it a little bit oily with the natural oils of the peanuts and you have to give it a stir. Coop used to sell it like that but now it's not as good.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but it may actually be genuinely useful to know that you can make your own peanut butter by throwing some peanuts into a blender. I mention this because you can, for instance, add peanut oil to make it a bit slacker, or add in flavourings to go with your cookies, etc.

There isn't really a recipe, in the same way that you don't need a recipe for making toast. If you must have a recipe, here it is:

1) Put some shelled peanuts in a blender
2) Add some other stuff if you want
3) Blend
4) Eat

i'd go with this but seriously tesco value crunchy is a very good alternative at a fraction of the cost.
