They were brilliant.
I don't support England, but I really expected them to win. But I guess you should never get complacent. "We'll win this and focus on France", well well well |

I'm too sad for England to say well done. I can't help it.

Really nice to see this thread, because Iceland deserve a lot of praise and respect. Whereas the itv commentator was doing that typical arrogant british "Look at this little team we're losing to. How can this be, they're a bunch of nobodies" rubbish. Iceland finished above Turkey and Holland in their qualification group with 20 points so more than earned the right to be here. Then they finished above Austria and Portugal in the group stages once here. At worst they should give France a fright, at best hopefully they might win. Although Lloris wont chuck any in for them!
On a different note has Iceland shut for 2 weeks, the whole population seemed to be at the match in Nice tonight |

Yeah well done Iceland. Now go and turn the French over.
Saw someone in a paper say regarding England "am not worried about this match, it's France I'm worried about" Erm.... |

^^^ LOL, I was there!
![]() Never thought back then that Gunny's long throw would be key to unlocking England's defence at a Euro Championships. ![]() ![]() But well done Iceland. When the French stop laughing at us tonight they'll realise they're up against a team of ice warriors for the next game. Full deserved their victory tonight. |

Amazing achievement, they totally deserved the win last night.
Great scenes with the players and the fans after, the Icelandic commentator on the 2nd goal, just everything about them really.
