What about S.O.A.P - This is How We Party.

And those people who ripped out Aqua - I forgot their name but they had a song which went "he's my best friend, best of all best friends, do you have a best friend too? my best friend... he tickles in my tummy, he tastes yummy yummy, do you have a best friend too"

Why the hell do I remember that lyric?

Mero - Remember their minor top 40 hit "It must be love"??
Back in 2000 (how come half of these acts seem to come from this year??) this was all over The Box like a rash, you'd have thought it would have been top 10 but no. It wasnt really that good which might have something to do with it

2wo Third3 (yes thats how the name was written)
I believe they were the first openly gay boyband if memory serves me correct. They had a top 20 hit with "I want the world" before disappearing off the radar in 1995. They also did a tune called Ease The Pressure which is a fantastic pop record, which didnt make the top 40!! The group spawned remix duo Biff and Memphis who did some cracking dance remixes in the mid 90's

Summer Matthews
From Byker Grove, released a record in 2004 I think, didnt do a right lot. Saya it all really

Tracy Shaw - Riding High

I was unfortunate enough to see the video one day. It's lived with me ever since. She owes me in therapy fees.

They were called "Toybox" and yes they really ripped off Aqua, in fact I don't know how they got away with it they sounded so similar.

The box back in 1999/2000-2001 was filled with dross that never even got released let alone charted. I remember this one song by a bloke who was like a British Ricky Martin called "Stop it I like It", the lyrics went something like"Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop it I like I, I like it".

I remember Scooch were played to death on The Box.

Toybox! That was it, haha!

Can anyone remember Lou Bega's (sp?) follow up to Mambo Number 5?

It was something like "I Got a Girl in Paris, a Girl in Rome, I've even got one in the Millennium dome" ha!

I remember it Ste. It sounded exactly the same as Mambo No 5! I'm sure in the video he was dressed as a fighter pilot or summit. Ironic really when the song BOMBED.

Lou Bega's follow up to Mambo No 5 was called I gotta Girl, it was a big hit worldwide but bombed here.

Yeah, that was it.

The lyrics from Mambo number 5 went "1, 2, 3, 4, 5". This song went "5, 6, 7, 8, 9" or something, sheesh!

You seem gutted at that fact. You also seem to know too much about Lou. Best keep that quiet I reckon.

What about Phixx, the Popstars The Rivals runners up . Seemed to have very moderate success for their first single and then, although I'm sure they released others, simply vanished from the public consciousness. If they were ever there to begin with.

Oh, and as for Princess Superstar, I remember people walking around saying that she was the "female Eminem" - and how she'd be really successful

I don't think anyone else has mentioned it, but there was that utter rubbish that was "help i'm a fish" which was inspired by the equally rubbish film!

Another of my fave flops is 'Do That Thing' by Masai. This was also on heavy rotation on The Box about 3 or 4 years ago...

'Stop it! I like it' was by Rick Guard.
There was a bad record out a few years back called 'World's Greatest Lover' by Farrell Lennon. Anyone remember it? The video used to get played on MTV a lot. Don't think it even got in the top 75.
