There was a bad record out a few years back called 'World's Greatest Lover' by Farrell Lennon. Anyone remember it? The video used to get played on MTV a lot. Don't think it even got in the top 75. I remember them reviewing it on Live and Kicking and the panel were laughing at it because it was so awful. |

Utter garbage. I also remember a Brazillian band called "Toyshop" who featured in a Boxtalk in around August/September 1999. Their lead singer was called Natasha, I remember liking the song, but can;t remember how it went. |

It was called 'Best Friend' i think. Boxtalk was great. I remember Deetah doing one for her single 'Relax' and Monifah doing one for 'Touch It'. they should bring that feature back. Oh and wasn't there one by somebody called Christian Fry or something?? |

Ooh, "I'm a big big girl in a big big world, it's not a big big thing if you leave me"
What was her name? She had another one about signs, or something, too. |

What was her name? She had another one about signs, or something, too. No.5 hit in December 1998. Follow-up was 'Good Sign', not such a big hit... No.54 in March 1999 |

Anyone remember Alda? She had a big hit with Real Good Time, a reasonable hit with Girls Night Out and then vanished!

Regarding the band "Reel" I went on a trip to Glasgow with some mates in 2001. On of my mates got mobbed 3 times and they were all thought he was in this band. Can't remember the name of the guy he was supposed to look like - but all 3 times he was called the same name.
So I imaging they must have had some success in Scotland also. Quite scarily I can remember the Baywatch actor (something Jackson, who played Hoff's son) hit "you can run". |

Coffee by Supersister was a fantastic piece of cheesy pop. It should have been a huge hit and a big gay anthem, in fact it probably would have been had it been promoted properly.
Anyone here remember a singer called "Apryl May"? She had a song called "Stay" that used to get played alot on MTV hits in about 2000/2001. Also "Betabox" they were twins who wore blue wigs and were produced by Pete Waterman, they were touted as the new Mel and Kim. Another flop I remember well, because my local radio station used to play it to death was "How will I know" by Jessica Folker. |

Supersister had a second single called 'Shopping', which only just scraped in the charts. For some unknown reason their singles are available on iTunes.
Scooch had three or four singles which were great! |

Supersisters last single was the ballad 'Summer Gonna Come Again' I dont know where it charted but presume it flopped
I found alot of scooch videos on youtube, for sure was my favourite. http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...levance&page=1 This thread sure brings back memories, I used to have 'The Box' on all the time and found it annoying when 'Box Talk' WAS on every 5 minutes or so. I recall one with Geri Halliwell interviewing Cathy Dennis promoting her single which flopped. They were shopping together I think. |
