Gareth Bale's free kick and Iceland's second goal tonight. Anyone else agree it is time for Fraser Forster.

Hart was complicit for the Russian Goal. Came half way, and was stranded.

Roy should have had the nuts to leave him out.

Promote Butland, give him the chance to cement the place.

Another player riddled with tension at tournament level. It sorts out the men from the boys and he was sadly found out.
Had his chance, not good enough, so it's time to give another keeper a chance.

He's finished at Man City. Pep won't stand for that performance.

The trouble with keepers is that their mistakes are magnified.

We had promising keepers in Foster and Green yet they make a mistake and are out of the team and out of the squad.

Hey guys, leave him be!.

He may have a nightmare game, but he didn't embarrass us by having dandruff!.

Now that would be bad news......

It was such a shame that he got the injury when he did.

He should be number one, Forster should be his deputy, and Hart should be no way near the squad.

Alas I doubt that this will be the case.

I don't think he was the same level anyway but a mistake like Hart's effectively cost Scott Carson his England career

Hart is just a shot stopper for me - laughable from twoddle last night 'what a great save' when the ball basically hit him from point blank range

Exactly, there is a huge difference between actively going out of one's way to make a save, and the ball just hitting the goalkeeper, and that was very much the case in that example.

When he actually has to think about making a save, (which way to dive, how high etc), he is very poor, hence why he gets beat so often without facing too many shots.

I think it all depends who the next England manager is. Whereas some would always only have their no. 1 goalkeeper as a regular for a top side (like Hodgson), a lot of others would choose goalies no matter who they are currently playing for as long as their form was good - e.g. Robson picking Shilton while he played for relegation strugglers Derby.

The way I see it is, the lower Premier League club they play for, the more top class standard shots, crosses, one on ones etc. they have to deal with, generally. So they have more scope to impress, which Forster certainly has.

Just think, if we had swapped goalies with Italy yesterday then England and Spain would now be in the quarters.

My son made the point, much like goalies study penalty takers, do teams study a goalkeeper's weaknesses. Both Bales goal and that one last night were low and to Hart's left, and he failed to get enough behind them. I not saying the iceland goal was intended to be low left and planned, but he has been caught out twice.

As good keepers go Hart is not one of them.

He was quite good when he was loaned out to Birmingham City but has been very mediocre for Man City over the recent years. He's just too flappy and has no real leadership over his defenders.

Bouncing up and down yelling "come on, let's have it", only to shit himself five minutes later when faced with well drilled opposition?

The only thing missing was a plastic chair to throw.

Yeah, that was quite awkward... You sensed he's only doing it to try and come across as a leader and motivator to the cameras... Not seen him do that before this tournament.... I stand to be corrected

I agree with the comments about Jack Butland. I was impressed with him when he played for my team, Leeds, on a loan spell a few years back. Seems to be getting better and is still only 23. Never been a fan of Joe Hart.
