BBC Radio London
Hull v Arsenal seemingly no reporter - disgraceful WBA v West Ham Andy Rowley and Steve Froggatt (FM commentary) Brentford v Preston Stuart Smith (I am glad he is being used by both BBC Eassex and BBC London this season after Dagenham and Redbridge's relegation from the League) Huddersfield v QPR Phil Parry and Steve Brown (DAB commentary) Wigan v Fulham Mark Taylor Charlton v AFC Wimbledon Louis Mendez and Alan Seabrook Southend v Millwall Deano Standing Barnet v Colchester Jonathan Blakey Leyton Orient v Yeovil Dave Victor Cricket: Warwickshire v Surrey (Lord's) Mark Church and Johnny Barron BBC Radio Nottingham Nottingham Forest v Norwich City Colin Fray and Mark Stallard (commentary on 103.8FM and 1584AM) Cheltenham Town v Notts County Colin Slater and ? (commentary on other frequencies) Hartlepool v Mansfield Charlie Slater On a personal (non-football) note, I am sad to see Nottinghamshire relegated from cricket's top league. Trent Bridge is my favourite ground (outside London), the players are great and the scorecard is the best in Britain. The pubs are pretty good in Nottingham and West Bridgford as well. BBC Radio Lancashire Frequencies: A 95.5FM, 855AM, 1557AM and DAB B 103.9FM, 104.5FM, Freeview Leicester v Burnley Scott Read and Paul Weller (commentary on A) Blackburn v Rotherham Andy Bayes (A) Brentford v Preston Jamie Hill and Alan Smart (commentary on B) Rochdale v Fleetwood Gary Hunt (B) Accrington v Portsmouth Dan Jewell (A) Blackpool v Carlisle Phil Cunliffe (B) Cambridge United v Morecambe Derek Quinn (B) BBC Radio Solent Manchester City v AFC Bourenemouth Chris Wise and John Williams (commentary) Accrington v Portsmouth Andrew Moon and Guy Whittingham (commentary) Macclesfield v Eastleigh Ian Wilding Weymouth v Gosport Jordan Clark BBC Radio Merseyside Sutton v Tranmere Derek Jones and Andy Doyle (lunchtime commentary) |

Sunday 18th September - talkSPORT Ian Danter presented Sunday Exclusive and The Full Time Phone-In from Selhurst Park alongside Ray Houghton Premier League Watford v Manchester United - Ian Abrahams Crystal Palace v Stoke City - Jim Proudfoot and Ray Houghton (2.15pm commentary), with James Savundra producing and conducting post-match interviews Southampton v Swansea City - Tony Incenzo Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland - Jack Woodward Formula 1: Singapore Grand Prix Marina Bay Street Circuit - Graham Courtney talkSPORT Live Premier League Watford v Manchester United - Alex Crook and Clive Walker Crystal Palace v Stoke City - Russell Hargreaves Southampton v Swansea City - John Anderson and Jason Dodd (featured 2.15pm commentary on international radio stations) Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland - Phil Blacker and Kevin Watson Bundesliga FC Augsburg v Mainz 05 - Chris Parrott Hertha BSC Berlin v Schalke 04 - Joe Shennan Last night, Dan Wheeler and Matt Lawrence commentated on Everton v Middlesbrough in the 5.30pm kick-off from the Premier League for talkSPORT Live. Newstalk 106-108FM are focusing on the GAA All-Ireland Senior Championship Final today, with Ger Gilroy, Nathan Murphy, Dave McIntyre and Kevin Kilbane among their team at Croke Park for Dublin v Mayo. There have been no Premier League commentaries and I'm not sure if they've been taking IRN's updates. Quote:

Sunday 18th September - talkSPORT 2
Russell Hargreaves presented La Liga Live La Liga Espanyol v Real Madrid - John Anderson and Matt Lawrence (7.45pm commentary) I think Russell might become the regular host of talkSPORT 2's Sunday night La Liga commentaries, given that there is an hour of talkSPORT Today from 6pm before coverage begins, plus a post-match round-up of the weekend's sporting action on the talkSPORT stations. He also hosted Extra Time overnight on the main talkSPORT afterwards, so alternatively this might be a job for Bob Ballard when he returns from the Paralympics. Going back to Saturday, Will Gavin introduced their Leganes v Barcelona commentary - having hosted Sportsday earlier that morning. I'm not sure if he remained in the chair at half-time and full-time, he may have given he was commentating in-house for talkSPORT Live later in the afternoon. There's a bucketload of live La Liga commentaries on talkSPORT 2 this week - two double headers in two days; Malaga v Eibar (7pm) and Sevilla v Real Betis (9pm) on Tuesday, then Real Madrid v Villarreal (7pm) and Barcelona v Atletico Madrid (9pm) on Wednesday. They also have commentary on Las Palmas v Real Madrid from 7pm on Saturday - Sunday's schedule isn't fully out yet. |

Not heard from Ian Cleverley for a few weeks are you okay?
Returning to BBC Sheffield still can't understand why Chesterfield is covered by BBC Sheffield when up to a few years BBC Derby only had one league team to look after. As regards to BBC Sheffield not covering home games with full live coverage. Does it make any difference to attendances etc Radio football commentary is something you dip in and out of. How many times have you ever heard footall fans say, must get back home to listen to the radio football commentary. I am aware Chesterfield is right in the top corner of Derbyshire, on the borders of South Yorkshire With BBC Bristol(which covers BBC Somerset) Yeovil is right down in South Somerset and on the borders of Dorset. My gripe about Radio Bristol is that Chris Spittles will commentate or summerise on Yeovil Town Bath Rugby is Andrew Sheridan and Bristol Rugby is Andy Champion. The powers to be don't want the commentators of Bristol City or Bristol Rovers to be known Mister Bristol City (as in the Phil Tottle days)or Mister Bristol Rovers. RANT OVER |

EFL cup: Swansea v Manchester City.
BBC Radio Wales: Rob Phillips and Ian Walsh. I wouldn't normally post Radio Wales details but as Ian didn't post them, I hope he doesn't mind.

I'm a few weeks late to this news, but anyone missing The Goalzone with Tom Ross, which finished on Free Radio 80s at the end of last season, will be interested to know that Tom's long-running Friday Football Phone-In has been revived by Big Centre TV, which is the West Midlands' local television channel, broadcasting on Freeview channel 7 and Virgin Media channel 159 as well as online at bigcentre.tv.
The Goalzone airs in its old radio timeslot of 6-7pm on Friday nights, with a repeat then going out at 9pm. It looks like many of Tom's former Free Radio 80s co-hosts are involved - the first show went out on Friday 9th September with Ian Taylor co-hosting, Darren Carter was Tom's co-host last Friday and tonight it will be Matt Murray. Off-topic for this thread I know, but I really appreciate what Big Centre TV are trying to do - I know some of the local TV channels on Freeview channel 7 elsewhere in the country have their critics, but the West Midlands' representative has to be one of the stronger offerings, certainly sport-wise. As a Walsall fan I'm a regular viewer of their Saddlers TV magazine show which is done in conjunction with the club's media team and contains some excellent in-depth interviews, while Big Centre also has a good Non-League and Grassroots football show, both airing on Thursday nights. Adding The Goalzone to this mix can only be a good thing, so best of luck to Tom and the rest of the team at Big Centre TV.
