Right, let's have your ratings for last night

Joe Hart - 3 - A bad, bad mistake for the second goal.

Kyle Walker - 3 - Lost his man for the first goal. No end product when he went forward.

Gary Cahill - 4 - A 'top class' defender made to look ordinary by 'plucky little' Iceland. No organisational or leadership on display.

Chris Smalling - 4 - See Gary Cahill.

Danny Rose - 5 - England best starter. Got forward reasonably but Iceland exploited that.

Deli Ali - 4 - didn't have much influence on things. Tired after a long season?

Eric Dier - 3 - has he turned up yet? Seriously, was he playing?

Wayne Rooney - 4 - good penalty, downhill after that. Fell apart in the second half along with rest of the team and failed to inspire those around him like a captain should.

Daniel Sturridge - 4 - played on the wing due to Hodgsons failure to include natural wide players in the squad. Cannot deliver a decent ball, kind of important in this position.

Harry Kane - 3 - who is this imposter? Looks totally drained after Tottenhams failed title bid. One decent volley but drifted out wide too often and his night was summed up by a truly awful free kick late on.

Raheem Sterling - 4 - won the penalty but his confidence appear to be incredibly fragile. Started to run into blind alleys before disappearing.

Subs

Jack Wilshire - 4 - his first contribution was a misplaced pass and it didn't get much better after that. Still and improvement on Dier though. Not fit and shouldn't have been in the squad.

Jamie Vardy - 6 - introduced some much needed pace and movement up front with that team falling apart around him. Well shackled and double marked by Iceland who obviously had him pegged as the danger man. Iceland defending deep didn't really suit him.

Marcus Rashford - 6 - did more in 5 minutes than the rest of the team put together, should have been introduced much earlier.

Roy Hodgson - 2 - changes galore again proves he didn't know his best team/formation. Seemed powerless to stop the team falling apart as he watched head in hands from the sidelines. Persevered with Kane on set pieces. Resignation his only option.
