Before flying home the England team visited an orphanage in Nice today. "It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope," said Eugene, aged six.

In other countries they'd be waiting with the rotten vegetables to throw after a performance like that.

The Mail and Sun will soon have pictures of the players on their holidays with the usual headlines
"Disgraced stars having jolly time whilst fans suffer" or something like that. Followed by articles/letters comparing them to the other sporting personal we have.. |

Which countries?
Has it happened before? Quite often abroad training grounds and coaches are smashed up after a bad result. We just get all hot and bothered on social media/the forums instead! |

Has it happened before? https://www.theguardian.com/football...h-korea-toffee It's quite normal to see disgruntled fans protesting at the training ground in Europe. Roma http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...g-carrots.html Valencia http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...-until-7311796 |

At least they get to go on their jolly's a bit earlier and I can now find something more fun to do rather than watch the football.

"Disgraced stars having jolly time whilst fans suffer" or something like that. Followed by articles/letters comparing them to the other sporting personal we have.. Shamefully, as they stepped off a private jet at Luton airport, the players seemed more engaged in their mobile phones than confronting the catastrophe for which they are responsible. How symbolic of English football's obsession with money that they were collected by chauffeur-driven cars to take them to their bling-style mansions. Even for a nation used to footballing disappointment, losing to minnows Iceland marked an embarrassing new low - described by Gary Lineker as the 'worst defeat in our history'. Clockwise from top: Rebekah Vardy posed in white lingerie weeks before her wedding to Leicester City striker Jamie; £80,000-a-week Chris Smalling once posed as a suicide bomber at a party; England's most expensive player Raheem Sterling was caught on camera smoking shisha pipes; Deli Alli's girlfriend, Ruby Mae, is a lingerie model who has worked for Dolce & Gabbana; defender Kyle Walker was seen previously inhaling laughing gas on a night out and Jack Wilshere, worth £27million pictured smoking and has been involved in fights. |

If they lose football matches, they should really just hitchhike their way home wearing dirty rags. At which point the Mail can just call them immigrants and scream either way.

That Mail article is parody becoming reality. |

They're probably all jetting off to Dubai, Maldives, Caribbean, etc this morning. Their WAGs are pleased they got knocked out early.

![]() Must have found some quick deals or didn't have a lot of faith in our progress! ![]() Of course they are allowed to have one but the papers have been all over it with the usual negative headlines (and then comments) Sometimes I wonder if the dislike for the footballers come from their off the field lifestyle as much as their on field performances? Maybe that Sterling house picture a few days ago was probably a bit of a PR own goal but I believe a friend/family member posted it on social media rather than him? Anyway give it 5/6 weeks and it will be back to "the best league in the World is starting with all these wonderful players in action" |

The apparent gaudy and shameless show of wealth by Sterling was actually a video of him being happy in the house he bought for his mum. The Sun followed this by using a photo of Sterling to illustrate an article about a drug dealer who used to play football and had absolutely no link whatsoever to Sterling outside 'play football'
It's disgusting. |

Fair enough - usually such videos and stories are leaked by friends and family aren't they.
Sun probably had it lined up ready probably! As XM says the same players will soon be "stars" and heroes" again before too long. |
