So it's nearly July and it's Grey, Quite Chilly, and it's Peeing it down...
Don't know about you but the Weather here feels more like Autumn here not June. Not what I'd call Summer. More like October really.
I live just North of Manchester and for the past three days it's been Rain Rain Rain...
Nothing wrong with that, we are in the UK so it's expected but it's also not been very warm this week either. I mean it's not got above 14C this week. That's well below average for this time of year. Even with a hoodie on it's felt quite chilly at points. In fact it's almost winter coat weather out there.
I know I am not one to complain about cooler weather (more the other way around), and no, I don't expect to be able to go out in t-shirts every day, but I think it is reasonable to expect one to be able to put their coat away during the "warmer" Summer months. My raincoat is still hanging up behind my door....
The only thing that feels Summery here at the moment is the long daylight hours (sun up is from 4:40am - 9:45pm) but even then it's being going dark sooner than normal at this time of year because it's nearly always been cloudy at night. I love a good Sunset but I've not seen a proper one for weeks...
I've looked ahead at the Weather forecast for next week, and the highest temp forecast is 15/16C Max.
At the moment the temp has now dropped to 12C and raining. That was also the temp here last January! Even for Northern England that is pretty poor for the middle of Summer. Had to put the light on now as it's getting really gloomy as well.
Guess we've had the Summer guys. Might as well forget Summer and get prepared for Winter again now. Nothing to do now but Put on a coat, Go shopping for Winter Hats and Boots, Buy a Christmas Tree, Buy some Winter Tyres, Get some De-Icer, Turn the Heating On, Turn the Lights On, Draw the Curtains, Put the Clocks back, Make some Broth and we're done.
