I'm already sadly aware that he's way out of my intellectual league, but what you say makes sense. I can certainly imagine him at some fancy cocktail party, wowing Mary Beard with his insights into classical history, or discussing the latest advances in neuroscience with Susan Greenfield, in his tracksuit, jingle-jangle jewellery and comedy wig.

I hate to burst your bubble, but he is not likable at all, he is vindictive, spiteful and nasty. None of those qualities are attractive in a person, I was going to put man but realised that that may be a gross exaggeration.
