I've just bought a 3rd Gen Moto G, running MM, and I can't scroll though anything without opening links and 'liking' things - the screen is hugely jerky and oversensitive (particularly compared to the 1st Gen, which still works like a dream). I've set touch delay to long and decreased the mouse pointer speed but its made no difference. Is this a known issue or have I just got a bad unit? About to send it back.

Try this app to see what results you get: Touchscreen Calibration

I've got a 1st Gen Moto G and passed all the tests with 98% - 100% results.

If that doesn't help then you could try a factory reset. If still no improvement then I would send it back.

I've got a third gen Moto G as well, never had an issue with the screen and ran the above test to make sure, scoring 100% on majority of tests. Only two of them scored 98%.

Thanks. I used the app, 97% -100%. But it's clearly not right - next to my 2013 moto g and my Nexus 7 tablet it's pretty much unusable. It's just crazy - a light attempt to scroll down makes the screen zip past at a thousand miles an hour and if you touch a link or photo it just opens them.

Wow - I took the glass screen protector off and it seems to have fixed it. Strange.

Still think I might send it back - for me it's a tad too big. It's a struggle to use it one handed, my fingers won't access all the keyboard easily. Or maybe I've just got freakishly small hands.

I've currently got one at the moment, though I'm in the process of moving to a a new device. The best part of it for me is the camera, it's excellent, in fact I believe it's the same camera sensor found on the much more expensive Nexus 6. Battery life is average, a lot of heavy tasks will drain it quicker but you could probably get through with a day of light usage. Just make sure to get the one with 2GB of RAM.

I haven't had the screen issues others have had so maybe I've been lucky
