He doesn't see his behaviour as being sly and manipulative, those on the receiving end of it do. Therein lies Andy's problem.

When was he sly and manipulative? What I saw was him telling people, to their faces, that all the bitching and back-biting from the bedroom bitches was making him uncomfortable. And he spoke to everyone involved to their faces. What's 'sly and manipulative' about that.

Just because 'Teesh' says behaviour is maniplee-manpill-manip....lative... doesn't make it so.

He's tried to have adult, intelligent conversation with them about the atmosphere in a house that he also has to live in and they screamed and wailed like toddlers that he's patronising.

Patronising = smarter than I am, it appears.

Well if he doesn't change he only has himself to blame if he gets called out again.

Are your comments actually for real? It seems as if you're going out of your way to say nasty things and bait everyone except for a few sympathisers to your cause who hate Andy and like Georgina. Empathy is a wonderful thing and you seem to have very little of it.

Just because you perceive him as being sly and manipulative doesn't mean he is sly and manipulative. IMHO he is very low on emotional intelligence which doesn't help, and has an analytical problem solving brain which the others just don't get.

he was imho genuinely upset.

Spot on.

And he had to listen to all that nasty drivel. No wonder he was upset.

He doesn't know how to talk to people like that - that's his problem. What he actually did and said was fine, they just can't listen to it and get all hysterical and offended. Twonks.

It's like he's on a different planet - not that he was intentionally nasty.

Actually I see it as him being upset because people have warped views because he's different

I agree with your take on him. Nice enough guy, but can't read situations or people very well, and has absolutely no chance of being able to communicate effectively with a bunch of fools like these, who'll just see him as attacking them and stirring against them.

I think anyone receiving that many nominations and then hearing the reasons for them (some were very personal) is entitled to be upset and cry.

Yes he can be patronising etc, but not everyone that cries is being manipulative.

It's hard to be an intelligent man in there, with likes of Sam, lateness, Evelyn Ryan hug hie , Laura is a little more aware, but nut not aware enough to avoid Marco. And Chelhsea big bollocks with no bollocks. What q crap boss. Andy wants people to stop spreading gossip, buts that's what mean gossips do. Spite pours out and they don't know how to stop. It's endemic. I would like Georgina to go. Jackson to his true colours chatting them all up. Chelsea being found out for lying about Jsyne. And for being a ****. My biggest wish is that latysha understands one conversation, Jason and Charlie get together. And that Alex looks as if he believes in something, anything. Rant over. I am s big big fan

I don't like him at all , but he was genuinely upset tonight . He had to listen to 9(?) lots of bile spewed about him while those who did it watched his reaction .
Don't get me wrong, I think that revealing who nommed them and why is good (if cruel) telly , but I'm not going to bash someone who got 9 noms that were delivered with sheer malice and delight for crying alone in the aftermath .
He took his noms announcement by BB well , but this was far more personal .

I must say that was a very reasonable comment on your part seeing as you are not a fan of his. Sadly not everyone cares to be reasonable.

Andy, Evelyn and Jayne were quite dignified with their reactions to being nominated, unlike Georgina who is a total monster. Both her and Jackson are ranting and raging about the fact that people nominated her!! Did they not also nominate people?”

I agree.

Some of the comments Andy got were really expressed in childish temper, and would have been hard to take.

Not only because they were cruel and cutting, but because they weren't exactly constructive criticisms. (Particularly, as you say, from Ryan and Letesha)

He isn't sly and manipulative. Just far more intelligent than the rest of the idiots in there.

Those tears were genuine i could tell. Andy is a nice, decent guy and better than most of those spiteful bunch in there.

When the photos come out, as with other housemates in previous series, it does look like they're creating a scene for themselves which will be picked up by the camera.
Why take the photos out if you're not planning on crying?

maybe he is trying to remember the sane non-BB world and people who like/love him?

He broke down. God knows I would have in the same situation. And I loved how Jason comforted him. He gave him a shoulder to cry on, but he also, in a nice way, explained the behavior that he thinks is getting Andy nominated. Good on him.

I'm so tired of it.

Having the noms replayed back like that was brutal, and I think his crying was genuine. But his attitude stinks. Yes he's not a total thicko, but he applied for and is appearing on Big Brother. Shut up about how clever you are and get stuck in.

I understand where he's coming from a lot of the time in regards to the other HMs, but he's quite combative and dismissive of others he deems less clever than him.

I think he did ACTUALLY cry real tears unlike so many in there who have been seen dry-crying meaning NOT actually crying at all. So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt tonight.

So much of what we see on BB is people playing up, looking for attention, but sometimes it is real and I think this was maybe one of those times.

He just can't read situations and people. He expects unreasonable people to respond reasonably then is baffled and upset when they react to type.

I've lived in the same house for a long time now and seen all kinds of people come and go on the street. Right now down the road is a family where the parents are shouty idiots and the children are allowed to run wild. I might imagine that if I just popped over, sat them down and calmly explained the error of their ways that they'd appreciate and understand and become better neighbours, whereas in reality they'd give me a gob full for interfering and their kids would probably egg my windows and put dog shit through my letterbox.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and while I sympathise with him somewhat he's been his own worst enemy, at least with the majority of his HMs. His intentions have not been to be a sly, manipulative stirrer, but that's always how they'd be taken by his idiot neighbours.

It will be interesting to see how it plays for him with the voting public as the weeks go on, if he survives the producer's coming 'eviction massacre'.
