I like Andy but to me, that felt like crocodile tears.

Are your comments actually for real? It seems as if you're going out of your way to say nasty things and bait everyone except for a few sympathisers to your cause who hate Andy and like Georgina. Empathy is a wonderful thing and you seem to have very little of it.
You mean like a sociopath!

It would be very easy to say suck it up Andy but he did seem genuinely upset to me. At work if we are out of order we get issued with a verbal warning, if Andy accepts this as a verbal warning hopefully he can learn from it? I'm not holding my breath but have to say I though yesterday was cruel and no one deserves that.

The same happened last year with Joel. The only housemate with an actual brain gets victimised because, rather than going at situations like a steamroller and shouting at everyone and everything, they approach things systematically and try and get to the bottom of a situation in a sensible manner and that disarms everyone else.

Joel was labelled a snake, manipulative etc etc when really, he was able to keep control over his emotions. Andy is exactly the same, and I think that's clear for most viewers to see. I think his tears were genuine, because I don't believe he was trying to make trouble for the house. He was uncomfortable with a few conversations he heard, and he tried to deal with that in the way he saw fit - by speaking to those involved. Silly Latesha and Ryan couldn't deal with their previous actions and decided to kicks off. That wasn't Andy's fault.

Why would he get a verbal warning?

It was an analogy.

Andy wasn't the first to confront the bedroom bitches, Jayne did the same whilst they were tearing into Hughie. The only difference is Jayne was visibly angry & Andy was calm.
Either way, the bedroom bitches didn't like what they were hearing from either of them and reacted exactly the same way.

Poor Andy is quite clearly a stranger to the type of people who think that shouting nonsense over people is a "conversation". He tried to speak to people individually (knowing they don't go into this dramatic mode without an audience) and then to address them as a group when, predictably, it all went to rats**t. I feel his frustration! Emma and Jason are about the only people in there who don't perform to an audience or feel that shouting is a normal form of communication.

He just can't read situations and people. He expects unreasonable people to respond reasonably then is baffled and upset when they react...

There's more than one way to skin a cat and while I sympathise with him somewhat he's been his own worst enemy, at least with the majority of his HMs. His intentions have not been to be a sly, manipulative stirrer, but that's always how they'd be taken by his idiot neighbours.

Very good points. Agree completely.

He's not doing anything wrong - he is in the right - but he's going about it all wrong.

I'm torn between willing him to, play it smarter, know his audience and go about things differently or just stay as he is and hope the viewers vindicate him.

Well yes, exactly. Only difference is they try and make out like Jayne is labelled "unstable" because they drove her to shouting. Andy is labelled a "snake" and "manipulative" because he can confront people without shouting and swearing.

I don't know what else I expect to be honest - the house is clearly sharing a single brain cell this year, I just hope Andy can go the distance like Joel almost managed to do last year.

I think it's possible Andy could be manipulative or game playing on ocassion but stil be a reasonably decent person. He may have seen value in a wider sense of telling some of the more stupid and aggressive bitchy HMs off drawing the audience attention to how awful they are. However they all do things like this it's just Andy is more clever and possibly better at it.

I am sure Emma, sweet and innocent Emma realised to sit back and let Jackcon implode was a good move. Also the reason Lateysha screamed and ranted about what Andy did was because she realised what he was saying could affect her chances with the public and winning. She just doesn't have the intelligence or nouse to react in a way that would actually help her and not harm her chances more.

Basically they all want to win and are eyeing up chances to shine and get support but I would say Andy's tears were genuine. That was an utterly crap task and only someone inhuman coukd take all of that on the chin and not react somehow. Jayne was pretty good but even she had to vent in the dusty room.

Sadly I don't think it's a case of not liking what they were hearing. It's more a case of hearing something completely different.

Their shared brain cell is not able to compute the idea of a rational argument. Should Andy try to be helpful? No - they are not interested.

.
Snipped to relevant bit for space .

Spot on . He is intelligent , no doubt about that but very very un-savvy regarding people . He is probably used to dealing quietly with logical people who can put their point across and everyone chiming in and shouting at him upsets him . Plus, he imagines that apologising for upset means all is well, because that's how things work in his world . Nope. Not when dealing in the dog eat dog environment in BB .
He just doesn't have the mental ability to cope in there . Again I repeat , I don't like him and sticking up for him feels odd, but he's going to come out of there a basket case by the time they've finished ripping him to shreds like jackals every time he tries to resolve an issue .

Simple question for those sticking up for Andy - Where were the tears when we got a close up?

No. He is the one who is victimising them by trying to turn them all against each other.

I genuinely can't believe how so many people are falling for this!!!
I genuinely can't believe how you can exhibit such overwhelming negativity towards a man you see on a highly edited 45 minute TV show?

Who are we to say what his motives are. IMO Jason gave him great advice - telling Andy to explain himself to the other HM's, as some just don't understand where he is coming from.

I loved Emma's facial expression when Jackson was performing his gangsta act towards her. 😮

Btw I still like Andy👍

I'll be honest I wasn't really looking that closely but does everyone have tears when they cry? I assumed it was genuine however it wasn't really heartfelt just quite upset.

OFFS, the man was upset. Quite distraught at what he had heard about himself. Do you barge into your friends and families face when they are crying.

What did you want, hysterical rants and bawling at the top of his voice..with copious tears streaming from his eyes.

(Just for you..look back and you will see Jasons shoulder has wet marks) That good enough for you.

Even to a non fan, one could see he was distraught. Like every other way he has portrayed himself, it was done with the most modicum of dignity he could muster.

There were no tears at all. I'm sick of the way he thinks he's above everyone else, judging them on calling them out for things yet he can't take it when it's dished back at him and he's nominated for creating unnecessary arguements. No sympathy for him at all.
