I think there's such a lack of likeable housemates that any hint of popularity can seem to be for 'no good reason'! I think it's just that they (whoever they may be) are less unpopular! I'm a middle-aged 35 and I feel sympathy for Jayne, not because she's "old" but because so many people seem to hate her for no reason other than that Chelsea bitched about her. But I don't like Chelsea, so does that cancel out my middle-aged bias in being sympathetic to Jayne?
