My prediction of an Italy/Portugal final is still on.
That would almost certainly go to penalties too

Portugal. Penalties. Saw it coming. Darnation.

Well played Poland though.

God I hate it when it's one miss in the shoot outs. Still, that's how it went against the Swiss....

So, wait, Portugal haven't won a game in normal time, but are in the semis?

Okkkkayy.

To be fair, they were the better team since their equaliser. Poland fell off the pace, badly.
One up on Ireland in the 1990 World Cup who I remember got to the Quarter Finals without winning a game in normal time.

portugal haven't won a game in 90 minutes, but they did beat croatia 1-0 after extra time so not sure why some are saying all they have done is draw... this was their first shoot out.

I think an on form Belgium would be too strong for Portugal
Agreed, but I think Wales will fancy their chances against this dour Portuguese side, too.

I wonder if we'll look back on this tournament as a whole as being the European Championship's equivalent of Italia 90.

Jesus. This Portugal side are stinking.
Not that Poland deserved much either. They went into their shell more or less after thier goal. But yeah, I won't Portugal to get twonked next game. They are dross to watch.

Could this Portugal team succeed where the 'golden generation' failed?

I can't imagine that match being anything other than ugly.

The monster ego has his supporters on here, but take your Portuguese hat off for a second and look at him like you'd look anyother player.
Yet again at this level, he was atrocious! If he was Raheem Sterling he would have been subbed and slaughtered by all for his dire performance.
5 games, two goals in one game against a team with a wide open defence. Apart from that, he has been every bit as poor as the England players everyone is slaughtering.

It was nausuating listening to the ITV kissing his ass every minute. Even going as far as saying he was doing what Maradona did with Argentina in 86 and dragging a team through with his performces. Pure, 100% total BS.
None of them have the balls to call as it is with this player at this level, but have no problem laying in to English failures.

Obviously the media are just hyping him but you say 'at this level' as if it's a higher standard of football than what he's usually playing at when it absolutely isn't.

Defending at club level is dire. He shines against shite defending and looks a mug against good defending.
Playing on the biggest stage of all he does what England players do - freezes and look extremely ordinary. No runs past defenders. Terrible free kick after terrible free kick. Weak shot after weak shot. At club level he strikes the ball very well. The weakness in his shots at this level shows he is being crippled by nerves, just like England's players.
Missing the ball completely. Miss controlling simple balls. One of the worst players on the pitch last night and that was in a game of poor quality.

That would be the case if they could perform at their best, but we don't do that.

Ronaldo could barely bring himself to join in the big celebrating huddle with his team mates at the end, just a quick pat on the back and off he trots. What an arsehole he is. Clearly gutted he is not getting the limelight. He see's himself as above his team mates, and yet he was one of the worst players on the pitch last night.
