Vicente Del Bosque has resigned as Spains Head coach
I think it is probably time for him to step down and find a new manager with fresh ideas as the great Spain team has gone

He went on way too long, but no one will take away what he has done for Spanish football. They always had strong teams, but (similarly to England back then) failed in heartbreaking fashions. Del Bosque took them to World Cup and Euro Cup glory. Very good manager, just too old now.
Plus, I suspect the Spanish had a rift within the team. Pique and Ramos clearly don't like working together. I think Pique's "finger" was an indication of the atmosphere within the dressing room |

He made a huge error in not playing the atletico quartet of koke, saul and at least taking torres.
In that last game, Spain got completely bossed in the midfield, they could of had koke and saul dominate in the middle like they do so regularly in la liga. Unlike fabregas and iniesta, koke/saul will not be overran, they dictate play alot and can control the midfield. Something fabregas and iniesta do not. As for Torres, he runs the channels and works hard, always delivers in the big games for Spain, and was coming off the back as his best season for some time. Del Bosque made alot of errors in selection. |
