Is Hughie the most genuine person in the house ?

I don't get the slightest hint of him putting on any kind of act

Even his rages appear entirely real , rather than the Nikki Graham type 'performances' we are getting from some of the others in the diary room

I just get the feeling that he is something we rarely see on Big Brother these days ... a housemate who is actually being himself

What think you ?

He seems totally natural, funny, kind, loving, playful, and his toddler temper tantrums are based on not being listened to and having his opinions dismissed by a bunch of wannabe camera loving zzzzzzzzlisters.

He may be the most genuine but he is also one of the dumbest and most aggressive. He needs to work on that. I liked him at first but the more uncalled for out bursts he has the less I like him.

100% agree! As we say in Ireland, Hughie has no back doors... Unlike all the bitches who say "I said it to their face " what you get with him is a natural, truthful reaction. Quite refreshing to have him this year tbh!

Quite a few of the HMs seem just as genuine as Hughie. Hughie is extremely volatile and has anger management problems, but that doesn't make him any more genuine.

He's not genuine at all. Didn't take him long to get in with the in crowd and
dump Jane.
Plus the fake romance with Ryan. Which is off more than on to keep the viewers interested.
He a sleazy hot head who cant control his temper.

After 3 weeks, all the HMs are now being themselves.
All are "real & genuine" in their emotions.

Alex is laid back and boring with hardly any personality.

Andy gets frustrated by the youngsters antics and finds it hard to interact with them. He's intelligent but emotionally immature.

Charlie is now a proven liar, obsessed with Jason & has a massive jealous streak

Chelsea is all mouth and no action, in his mind he's the best thing since sliced bread, deluded.

Emma is a flake, doesn't like confrontation

Evelyn she's a gossip but not malicious

Georgina is naturally miserable, she is controlling, slightly vulnerable, & holds a grudge for a long time. She's very jealous especially towards younger females who she deemed more attractive than herself. Georgina comes across as someone who hasn't had much experience with relationships & men in general. Emotionally very immature.

Hughie is naturally funny but does have a quick temper. He can be quite intimidating in one of his rages.

Jackson makes out he's getto but in the DR we've seen otherwise. He has a sensitive side, uses situations to his advantage. At times he's delusional & enjoys being pussy whipped.

Lateysha enjoys being the Queen Bitch in her little group, what she wants she will get. She doesn't enjoy seeing others in the limelight and shown jealousy. She acts like a spoilt brat when she doesn't get her way & is very self absorbed.

Laura is very open, especially sexually. She is a gossip but not in a malicious way. She's fun loving and always finds a smile even when times are hard.

Ryan is a follower, not very emotionally bright. He loves being centre of attention & isn't as funny as he thinks he is.

Sam is also a follower, rather go with the flow than rock the boat. He tries to avoid nominations by ass licking. He's also a proven liar & quite deluded.

Jayne being an older HM, she finds it hard to interact with the others. She is very secretive and a loner. She isn't enjoying herself in the house due to Chelsea being there. Jayne is one of two HMs that can't open up & be them self at this time

Jason is another who can't be them self due to his demented EX GF being in the house.
Jason has shown compassion to others and authority when needed. He's bored in the house with all these youngsters, so he keeps himself busy by planning and cooking the meals. He doesn't like confrontation & tries to be the peacekeeper.

Toddler temper tantrums? Can't believe how blind people are to how aggressive this guy is. He's a loose canon and I wouldn't be surprised if his temper and aggression one day leads him to seriously harming someone, or worse.

This is him on tv being filmed, imagine what could happen behind closed doors and if there was nobody to stop him when he turns.

And don't say "oh it's because people wind him up". Everyone gets wound by or feels attacked in there at some point. Alex just told him to butt out and that made Hughie try to physically attack him and he had to be restrained. Call that a "toddler tantrum"?

Alex didn't just say that, he goaded him for a reaction - didn't you hear his little pathetic "go on then lad... come on lad" remarks?

Sam was shouting to Ryan (who was literally behind Hughie) Hughie hardly got a word out before he was told randomly to "butt out" by Alex, who only spoke up because he knew he'd get camera time.

Are you really trying to justify his behaviour?

NOTHING Alex said warranted being physically attacked, and that is what Hughie attempted to do but was stopped by Jason and the others.

I call Bullcrap on that...utter rubbish and you know it.

Hughie most certainly did not attempt any physical altercation with Alex.

In fact I would go so far as to say, Alex should have been reprimanded for his goading.

He's a monumental dullard whom I have found hard to remember. His goading , tormenting act as " the big man" with Hughie was disgraceful.

He's a nothing person in that house..waste of a housemate.

Why are people obsessed with the idea that everyone is out to goad and rile up Hughie. ?The same thing was said about Natalie. Why would they want to do that ? What would they get out of it ?. Maybe Hughie should just learh to control himself.

Absolutely , he should and I hope when he leaves the house (perhaps as the winner) someone will take him aside and have a word.

It does not, however, negate the like of the foul horror that was Natalie or the dullard mumbling, mind numbing Alex (who nobody remembers) goading him.

Now their behaviour is manipulation at it's worst.

Hughie is 100% genuine in my opinion.

He makes a stand when he perceives social injustice taking place. Anyone that does that, without harming anyone else, gets my vote

There is nothing wrong with refusing to be suppressed.

He comes from a culture where he has had to fight harder to be accepted; both in society and within his own community. He is programmed to recognise fair/unfair treatment.

He doesn't start trouble but if it lands at his feet, he won't be backed into a corner and I respect him for that!

He comes across as caring and quite laid back to me, he gets involved in all the tasks.... and he brings humour to the house

Hughie to Win

I agree. Most of the housemates seem pretty genuine to me but I'm not a fan of his outbursts. He causes grief where none is needed.

His outbursts are as a result of unfairness and dishonesty. I see nothing wrong it that. Sure, I wish he would be a little less vocal, but as to his intentions, I fully understand and think he's as honest as the day is long.

I think he sees unfairness and dishonesty where none exists. He's over-sensitive with a hair trigger.

I don't think he's particularly malicious or anything but I don't see any particularly standout positive qualities to counteract his anger issues negative. I guess I don't really see why the love?

Surely his almost uncontrollable ranting and yelling aren't the only way to deal with perceived social injustice?

Indeed, I agree with most of that. Lateysha does seem to have a compassionate side, though. I was impressed by the way she tried to calm down Sam.
