Who really cares ? Ben Frow has ruined the civilian series. The production is still dire yet they have replaced a lot of the producers this year. Its only thanks to some good housemates that the show is watchable this series. Nothing to do with production.
The Celeb series is far superior. The 'normal' series no longer exists in the form it once was many years ago.
I will say this for C5 they tend to get the casting for CBB spot on, even if the lines do seem to be blurred by what is classed as a celebrity.
The entertainment value tends to last till the end aswell. Probably due to the voting being 'save' and not evict like the normal series.
Civilian BB which isn't really civilian bb anymore has had its day.
CBB I imagine will go on for years and year's to come.

Oh dear. What a disaster of a series.

I'm not enjoying it much. Since Marco and Natalie have left it's become boring. I hate vote to evict

Hopefully Eden will fill my reality tv gap, this BB has been a bit meh.

Maybe it's Rylans fault and there doing it to make way for his x factor gig, I wouldn't have thought normal BB would have been affected but cbb goes into September, maybe he will be needed by then so there cutting it short to bring cbb forward for him

Bots isn't on at the weekend though so CBB won't really affect it, Xtra Factor did do a Thursday night show last year not sure if they are keeping that but with pre-recorded show's he could probably still manage it.

3 weeks!!?!?! What's the point and how will they get rid of so many people in so short a time!!?!?!

And in fact, if there are only 3 weeks left, what does it really matter when anyone goes?!?! Other than the winner of course.

The last time I watched Big Brother was the year with Dexter and Gina. Ending in July seems ludicrously soon to me!!!

I find normal BB much more interesting than CBB. The last CBB I watched was the one with Rylan in it.

Though I do admit my favourite housemate of all time (from the shows I have seen of course) was Terry Christian. Back in the days of live feed. He is the only person I have ever watched having actual interesting discussions. That said, I am sure others have before or since, but without there being and you watching live feed you'd never see it.

If is the last one, I am glad I am watching it though in any case.

That's it for me then. Channel 5 are obviously giving up on the regular series. They have ignored the fans and butchered the show.

CBB isn't enough for me, the regular series is what makes BB special and without it it is nothing.

Until Channel 5 get out of this mode of "enjoy what we want the show to be or screw you". nothing is going to change. you cant strangulate information about the show and expect people to hang around.

Same old excuses on Twitter. Football weather tennis. (these have been around a lot longer than the shows been on C5) and when Faced with other events its upto C5 to make sure they are doing the very best they can. that simply hasn't been the case for the last three summers now.

Smith did the right thing going. C5 will blame Endemol again they need to take a good long look a lot closer to home

....and then Channel 5 decide to shorten the series. It's taken the momentum out of it for me now. Even though there was loads of the usual manipulation, the actual real stuff happening in the house was getting interesting, now i just can't be bothered with it.

Channel 5 are absolutely useless, they really are.

Ben frow said quite clearly he doesn't want bb to be the main attraction of c5 and wants other programmes to be the more centre ground of c5. His devotion is to cbb, it's so blatantly obvious. But cbb also makes the money whereas civilian bb doesn't bring in the revenue like it used to.

I really like a few of the HMs, which is unusual for me, so it figures they are ending it early

Might be a last minute double eviction tonight then .
They'll need to start pruning out to get the numbers down before the final .

Then he is an idiot, Channel 5 is an awful channel and there is nothing they can do that will get viewing figures as high as BB. It's almost like when Channel 4 ditched BB, they thought they could come up with a show to replace it, they still haven't managed it 6 years later.

Give CH5 a break ...

By your own admission, (and from the views of many here), this series has started to win over many people and distance itself from the last couple of seasons where there was too much interference from producers / production. etc.

We shouldn't let moaning and bitching, (about a program we've loved in the past), become a simple, knee jerk reaction when or where it isn't justified or warranted.

If you were "just starting to get into it" then that's a really good thing, isn't it?

Shouldn't that fact deserve celebrating?

Looks like the house will need a major cull to get the 5 hm's for the final week.

Wow I don't really care who goes now if that it's ending in 3 weeks. Shocking treatment of this show.

No, i won't give Channel 5 a break. Every time something good starts to happen, they go and screw it up. They have done it again by cutting the series short. They are useless, they haven't known how to handle this show from the off.

The trouble is every time there's been a decision to be made, fork in the road, they've chosen the wrong path. Each time taking a step away from what makes/made the show work.

'Assisted' drama using media-savvy people looking to raise their profile is not the way to go. I just wish they'd put a diverse range of people in there (even some 'ugly' (normal) looking people too) from all backgrounds and ages and actually just let things unfold with a few interesting tasks thrown in.

That's all the show needs to be, it doesn't need vapid drama queens who can shout but not listen, it doesn't need BB generating animosity at every possible turn and it doesn't need MIC style acting.

I used to love this show and have watched it slowly erode and crumble to pieces over the years. Sad really.

They just don't put any effort into the show anymore. The tasks are lazy and pointless. The HMs are lazy and have no motivation. In the old days of BB that office task would have had them required to type a certain number of pages an hour or something, anything, not sit on their ass, serve food to "management" and listen to people nominate them while keeping a smile on their face. The only requirement to pass that we were aware of was that they all had to remain happy and smiling and clearly they didn't succeed with that. And still they passed.

I don't even understand the point of this show anymore. Tasks are pathetic, HMs can throw tantrums, leave and return and they think this is perfectly fine. Everything they say in the DR is played back at some point and they all seem to have been recruited through agencies.

Yeah, I still watch it but I don't understand the point of the civilian series anymore. I think if you look at BB in US, Canada and AUS they cast, for the most part, civilians, they put a lot of thought and effort into tasks that actually require effort from the HMs and well they also don't tend to broadcast alliances and plots for everyone to hear....

This is annoying. The one series that doesn't deserve a reduction.
