Zaza with the greatest run-up of all-time. The ultimate in "I really don't want to kick this ball."

Well its the same old story...Germany win the shoot-out.

Unless you are a seasoned penalty taker (and even they miss from time to time), head down and just leather it and stop trying to be creative. I know nerves play a part but leave the theatrics on the training pitch.

I don't hate Germany at all! As I said at the start of the thread, they've just won the World Cup...give someone else a chance. Selfish.

I admire Germany immensely as a team and I hope they win the tournament.
They get the job done most of the time and they work as a team. |

Zaza looked like he got carried away with the nerves and couldn't stop himself with the tip-toes until it was too late. How embarrassing.

Simone Zaza's penalty was possibly the worst penalty I've ever seen
. You just knew he was going to miss it. Not only was the run-up hilariously unorthodox and just plain bizarre on the eye, the penalty itself was just abysmal . It took him forever to hit the ball and when he finally did, he skied it. I mean what was he trying to do? He looked like a clown running on marbles. Zaza gave a new meaning to the quote - "kicks the ball into Row Z". That ball is actually on the moon now. |

Iceland won't beat France. And with Germany missing Hummels in defence, Khedira probably finished for the tournament, and maybe Gomez out of the semis too, I think the French can get themselves into the final. France has enough firepower to hurt a full strength German team, but with their most important defender missing they'll have an amazing opportunity to stop the World Champions.

How many semi-finals have Germany been in if you add up their European Championship and World Cup performances?

Big1899 @grande1899
The only 4 players on the pitch today who play in England all missed their penalty (Ozil, Schweinsteiger, Pelle, Darmian) Hmmm |

goalies should fake a dive, but stand up.
They would save loads of crap shots straight down the middle. Panenka copycats have a lot to answer for
