Coverage of the game will also be broadcast online at ITV Hub and on BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.

This will be the 12th meeting between the sides. Iceland have yet to beat their opponents with the French claiming 8 wins from those previous 11 matches.

There's usually goals when these two meet. 38 goals in those 11 matches with 10 of them coming in their last 2 clashes.

France are unbeaten in their last 16 major tournament games played on home soil, winning 14 and drawing 2. Their last defeat dates back to July 1960 in the inaugural European Championships against Czechoslovakia (0-2).
They have allowed their opponents a total of just three shots on target at Euro 2016 - fewer than any other side. Two of those were penalties scored by Romania and the Republic of Ireland.

Iceland are one of two teams, alongside Wales, to have scored in all of their games at Euro 2016, and all 6 of their goals have been scored by different players.
They have now only lost once in their last 10 competitive matches (W5, D4).

Its the end of the road for Iceland, I'm afraid. Can't see the hosts losing here.

Well after watching their previous impressive displays I actually thought Iceland were in with a great chance of causing an upset BUT I've just seen that France have just Giroud on a yellow whereas Iceland have TEN players on yellows !!!

I just don't see how Iceland can play their normal game .

Players on a yellow
France: Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny

Iceland: Kári Árnason, Birkir Bjarnason, Johann Gudmundsson, Aron Gunnarsson, Hannes Halldorsson, Birkir Sævarsson, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Ari Skúlason

Thank you!

France please! Otherwise Germany might as well be crowned champions right now.

I can see France and Germany knackering each other on Thursday night. The winner will have to play the final on Sunday against a Portugal side who will won 24 hours earlier in a much less draining match against a Wales team missing some key personnel. If all that comes together as predicted, I think Ronaldo will have a very good chance of collecting the international winners medal he craves.

I will eat the whole content of my wardrobe if Germany fail to win against Portugal regardless of personnel.

A Portugal v France final would be less predictable though.

Maybe I'm just an old (well, middle-aged) romantic, but want Iceland to do it. Sure it's very unlikely, but France haven't looked amazing and it was only 2-1 against a spirited Irish team who'd been reduced to ten men for a reasonably long period of the second half. It's been a tournament of a few surprises so you never know. Looking forward to it.

I would never bet heavily against a team with Ronaldo in it. If he plays a blinder against that less than secure looking German defence he could easily outscore them on his own. Moreso if he and his teammates have had 24 hours extra rest, and Germany have to go the distance with France in a real gruelling encounter.

Iceland have only conceded one goal per game (and have scored in every match) and France have yet to score more than two. This is going to be tight IMO, could even go to extra time.

If I wished to comment about Wales I would do so in a thread where it was appropriate to do so. This thread is clearly about Iceland v France.

Come on France. I love a plucky underdog story as much as anyone, but Iceland are just really boring to watch.

The yellow cards issue, is a red herring. The Iceland players will only be thinking about winning tonight, not worrying about whether they'll be there individually.
