BANG!

The sound of reality hitting Iceland. This isn't piss-poor opponents anymore. THIS is International World-Class football. This is Euro 2016, where the big boys play. And you are losing 5-1.

A lot of homework to do before Russia 2018.

What a load of sentimental old tosh, their heads went down after the first goal. absoultly no effort to block the 3rd goal, a good rollicking at HT has made them play with some pride this half that was totally missing in the 1st.
Quarter finalists at Euro 2016. Lets see how they are received when they go home. I suspect they'll be welcomed and that is the measure of success.

The same applies to England.

Iceland have played their hearts out, unlike some other teams
Rubbish, looked like they had lead in their boots for most of the first half, total lack of effort to block the shot for the 3rd goal, if that had been 5 England defenders stood watching instead of attempting to get to the ball we would have been rightly crucifying them for such a poor effort

Iceland will exit this tournament with a lot of respect despite the eventual scoreline. Even now, they aren't letting their heads go down and are still having a go. It's good to watch a mature team with great fans who have no sense of entitlement or bitterness and are determined to enjoy themselves.
Well said .

All this gloating from England fans about a nation of 300,000 people being beaten by an international heavyweight just makes the English loss all the more hilarious.

They'll rightly get a great reception but you said that their heads hadn't dropped when they clearly had at least until they their HT talk from their manager

Can you imagine England playing tonight against France instead of Iceland

They probably would have scored ten against us

How do you know these people are English? They might be from local rivals, Greenland.

I find it surreal that they're bitterly attacking Iceland. Surely their ire should be on the England manager, team and the hapless FA, all of whom Iceland beat.

France have dealt well with the pressure of being favourites in this one. It will be a very different test against Germany, then the winner of that will have the pressure/privilege of being favourites in the final again.

Who is attacking Iceland? Their performance tonight yes, because they have been abject for much of the game

Early goal helped. If Iceland got to half time at 0-0 then some anxiety may have set in.

Are you two reading a different thread? There's been far more complaining about England (a tiresome amount tbh) than attacking or gloating about Iceland.

It will be either France or Germany that will win the Euros

Wales and Portugal have no chance

They have got a Tough Group with Croatia, Ukraine and Turkey, will do well to get 2nd place and a Playoff

Based on this tournament, I'd say the toughest team there are Croatia. Would fancy them to do well against Turkey and Ukraine.

Good job England didn't beat Iceland , the thought of England losing by several goals to France would be too much

Venkman above. Sorry, I should have made myself clearer.

And Iceland score.
