England actually performed in the semi final.
There's was more life in a tramps vest than Wales against Portugal. |

Amazing player (for everyone who says I don't like the English - I can appreciate real quality).
Gazza was very non-English in his style of play He had an incredible understanding of the game on the pitch and superb ball skills |

So you don't know who's been in charge since 1966 but they're all rubbish, and you have no idea who is in the squad or why someone isn't but they should all be cleared out.
I hope you stick around past this tournament, these pearls of wisdom make the forum what it is. |

Gazza was the one England player who never been replaced and probably never will. There is no player in the current England team with anything like his skill.

I meant that Gazza had a football intelligence and ball skills so many English players lack. I'm not England-bashing (as Deep Purple will undoubtedly come in and say). It's a fact that many English players of the past have spoken about.
That whole general of players 1990-1996 was different, but for me, Gazza in particular stood out as a real superstar. |

I think Gazza is hugely overrated by the English. He was a decent dribbler and had a good shot but there have been far superior number 10s.
Paul Scholes was a far superior player to Gazza |
