He'll be on in a few minutes to explain the reason why he left Strictly.

*waiting*

Him and Elena were on via cam. Basically, the same spiel we've been given before: he misses his family and wants to be with them. He said that SCD takes up to 6 months of your (his) year and he wants to spend more time with his daughter because she is going to start school soon.

He also said they're rehearsing a new show and will bring it to the UK where we'll see a few "Gleb Specials" (his words, not mine). They are still deciding where to go next next, Australia, Hong Kong or LA. He mentioned his 2017 calendar and that we can expect " a lot of flesh"

ETA: his daughter is adorable!

Shame Gleb won't be back. I thought he fitted in SCD really well - great dancer and choreographer, great to look at (lol) and had a nice personality with a sense of humour. Always got the impression he enjoyed being on the show.

Many thanks and much appreciated. Might see if I can find it on catch up TV as I'd love to see Olivia, his daughter. She seems lovely from the snippets he posts on his social media accounts.

Thanks for that my carrot and coriander soup

Funny, when he said, who ever is looking for love will find it, James looked a bit uncomfortable, Poor guy. James and Camilla, seems like a long time ago.

Thanks for this, just watched the link, good interview and what a beautiful couple he and Elena are. They both came over well.

On a side note I loved James Martin on Strictly, I'd buy his calendar

I thought the James/Camilla rumours were unfounded and it was just a bit of tabloid fodder?

Good morning Lou. Sorry, I didn't know that. I always believed that they were an item for about 6 months.

Morning I'm not sure Sarah, I had in my head that it was a made up story but my head is not always reliable!

I thought they'd virtually admitted it was more for show than mance as well

Must confess to never being particularly keen on James Martin whether it's because of some of the stuff he said about being with Barbara Broccoli or just that I'm a cyclist, I don't know

Morning Sarah Yes, James can cook for me in just his apron anytime

Regarding James and Camilla I thought there was a real something between them but they downplayed it in the media?

James has since admitted explicitly it was a put up job by the producers, but Camilla still likes to hint there was something more if she's got a book to sell...

In retrospect the early series were much worse for fake romances than things are now. Either that or the people in the fake romances have got much more committed to selling them since. I think the change was somewhere around Series 5 when they fell over their own feet so many times with that bizarre Matt C - Alesha - Matt D - Flavia - Vincent (*insert Gethin as well but God knows where*) love hexagon they tried to sell. Since then it's been much tidier.

Thank you
Thought it was something like that.

Must admit the series 2 one where Denise was expecting Ian's baby will take some beating!

Still puzzled by his decision and I'm not sure if I really buy his excuse but good luck to him and his endeavors.

Well backstageone said he was actually let go, but we're not really sure of the reason for that. I don't buy family commitments either, as he was obviously really commited to Strictly up until a few weeks back, but we can only speculate as to why.

I totally agree plus he really wanted to come back. He kept tweeting, retweeting things during and after the show regarding that. His wife was also actively campaigning to be a pro as well....so given all of this and knowing how he really wanted to be on the show, I don't believe his excuse. I still think that he pulled a Trent. Tptb said No and then he was let go.

Gleb did not pull a Trent, he did something worse, he showed indecisiveness when asked to come back, production took it as a sign of trouble down the road and he was let go, no family issues were involved.

Strictly needs their pro to be 100% comitted to their job and to their celebrities, no pro is bigger than the show and they were not about to let him get away with it.

For instance, Gleb was specifically warned not to mention his calendar on tour, well, he did on some ocasions and particularly took advantage on the last two shows. So if Gleb the newbie gets out of line, a seasoned Gleb gets you into trouble...Cut him off.
