But surely the indecisiveness was down to his family situation though? When you have children they always have to come first, no matter what. They managed it last year because the daughter wasn't yet in full time school, but she will be from September.
I agree about no pro being bigger than the show, but I think the producers have to shoulder some of the blame because they hyped the whole Gleb thing from the very start. You reap what you sew, they created the whole thing. From my memory it was Mel who mentioned the calendar on tour as well. |

The production sounds like a dictatorship if this is the reason Gleb was dismissed! He's better off out of it in the longer term. Just hope we get to see him elsewhere.

I think from what pro's who've left have said, they don't really get much creative control anymore. They don't even get to chose their own music or staging. Its a very restrictive environment.

Agreed, production helped in creating the monster as well as the show being responsible for exploiting the male/sex aspect everytime they have an opportunity, not to the detriment of a vast number of female viewers I might add. I do not believe that Gleb left the show for family reasons though. |

He wasn't my favourite pro, but I like him a lot. It's a shame he's not back - whatever the reason. I think he was a great addition (whilst i do agree with the comments that he didn't always put Anita first!). I do agree that the BBC have slightly been "hoist by their own petard" - to totally pimp him up, and then have issues that he's getting to big for his boots seems like madness!
EDIT - "family reasons" may not have ostensibly been the main reason, but it might have been the cause of his indecisiveness surely - as others have said. Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in future. |

They never get asked back once they've left. Aliona only came back because another female pro was injured and they had no one else to replace her.
I must admit, there is a part of me wonders if this is just a big publicity stunt for the new series? Much like when Louis Walsh was dropped from X Factor then brought back at the last minute. They still don't have a Gleb replacement. Gorka is Tristans's replacement is he not? |

That is not entirely true, while production has oversight of what finaly comes out on the day of the show, all pros are required to provide the songs per dance style, as well as the whole concept for each dance on a weekly basis. sometimes a final desicion is reached to change the music or the concept, but most of the times it is the pros idea that ends up being used or a combination of the two. Sometimes the whole concept ends up at the feet of another pro altogether which is very unfair to the pro who created the whole thing, but this does not happen very often.
