Mine's one that was a Top 10 hit in 1977 but probably not as well known as some others. The Diary Of Horace Wimp.

Closely followed by Confusion and Telephone Line.

What is it about that song that makes it your favourite?

I don't know really. Just find it quirky and enjoy it.

Actually it was a hit in 1979.

Tightrope on a New World Record. Never released as a single but he played it as the set opener when I saw him at the O2 in April. Classic ELO - starts with a string section before transforming into a pop record.

'10538 Overture' - the ELO masterpiece and genuinely original. Never again matched.

I liked the Baroque and Roll ELO of the first album not the later pop ELO.

Another vote here for Horace Wimp - I think because it's a little different to their other singles, and it's kinda cute.

Yeah it is cute. Kind of sad too. Poor Horace.

Great song. They had 3 singles in a row that all peaked at No.6. in 1978. Between this and Mr Blue Sky was Wild West Hero.

Wild West Hero which reminds me of my Dad who always wanted to be a cowboy! Also love Don't Bring Me Down (Groos! ) and Telephone Line.

'Strange Magic' is my favourite but I also love
10538 Overture
Shine A Little Love ( catchy, feelgood song )
Living Thing
Tightrope

Mr Blue Sky is overrated imo, and Horace Wimp is embarrassingly bad.
