Im finding it so weird that only start of week 5 and Rylan has just mentioned the final on BOTS Do you think they will axe civilian BB after this one?? They have obviously given up now. i cant get over that the series is apparently 2-3 weeks from ending when it doesnt feel that long since it began??

Sadly I think it should be put out of it's misery now, it's beyond redemption in it's current guise. It's lost all sense of it's own identity and has been reduced to poorly mimicking other shows.

Amazingly they actually came up with a decent cast this year but they've still managed to make a complete pigs ear of it and ruined what could have been a good series if they'd given it room to breathe and develop naturally. Instead we've had to endure constant interference, manipulations and amateurish attempts to micromanage every aspect of the show. The HMs just accept the producers nonsense now, playing along with what they think is wanted of them - they are all complicit in the farce.

As for CBB I've long since given up on that shite.

Yes, it's gone. Viacom got their wish. Endemol have only themselves to blame with a run of lacklustre series.

They seem to have cut it short as it has been found out as populated by failed actors, TV wannabes and rather strange people, some of whom were put into a second house to deliberately " bring down" those in the main house under guidance from BB. This is ridiculous.
Also there was gratuitous sex shown on TV, and the pathetic get out of issuing a warning before the programme starts is insulting.
It has been a disaster, and since channel 5 took over and stopped live feed and deliberately made it into a freak show with no integrity to the original concept it has only been a matter of time before someone with sense in ch 5 said enough is enough.

Rylans programme has only served to further cheapen and taint the whole thing, and Emma's loyalty, through clenched teeth is a wonder to behold.

Sack the lot of them and start again, preferably on a different channel, and stop treating the viewers like adolescent idiots.

I think it needs a rest for about 5 years then bring it back but how it used to be no Z listers.

That is pretty much what BB is now anyway.

I thought I read that C5 in order to do CBB they had to do (civilian)BB.

Although considering most of this lot would qualify for CBB anyway (CBB has put less or at least equally well known people in) does it really matter anymore?

I would assume that the BB & CBB contract has a ratings related get out clause.
So whilst CBB is still hitting targets and assuming it continues to then it'll run until 2018 when the current contract expires.
BB however .. I suspect this is the end of the road.
