As posted over on the BT Community Forums 3 new HD channels have started on BT TV.
382 Alibi
383 Watch
384 Lifetime
I have set up the channels and there now working.
This is a good move from BT and hope they will be adding more channels and HD over time.
I do watch Alibi at times as well as Watch or W as its now called. As for Lifetime I do watch it but not that offen.

It seems your wish may be granted :-

SEENIT has now been told that they’re to be joined by HD versions of Dave, Good Food and Eden in October.

TV Mad Alan will be pleased, he's been wanting more UKTV HD channels for ages 🙂

The forthcoming Dave HD is particularly pleasing to me, it's a channel I used to watch a lot of years ago, but since the advent of HD, I've not bothered with it so much. Adding high def Dave will probably encourage me to get back into the channels content.

70% of my TV viewing in the last two years or so now tends to be HD.
I now only tend to watch SD when I have no other choice.

YES your right that this has made me happy as this shows that BT TV are really a TV platform to give a person a choice .

W HD will be good for those the like EastEnders as this will give another time to view the show in HD that day. ALSO for me it gives DR WHO in HD which is always good Plus films too.

Alibi HD will give many great shows now in HD like Castle, Rizzoli & Isles, New Tricks, Death in Paradise and the great Silent Witness.

Lifetime HD has the show Storage Wars & Hardcore Pawn

Now it would be great if more HD came to BT TV like Dave HD, EDEN HD , Goodfood HD, Universal Channel HD, Film 4 HD, H2 HD, All Sky ( Movies) Cinema HD and others also we need more SD too.

Thanks for letting use know this is good new and hope it will continue. Not that I really watch E and only watch Universal now and again..All we need now is Eden to be in HD and that will be I mostly it for me.
I wonder if BT will also be going to add at last one more channel that they don't already have.

I would like to see Eden and Film4HD as well but Film4HD will have to fined space on Freeview for that to happen.
Hope BT will continue to keep improving its TV service in the run up to Christmas.

Darn, I thought Film 4HD was a pay channel. I don't think they could fit it in one of the 6 main multiplexes. I can't pick up com 7 & 8

p.s. Maybe it could part time share with CBBC HD...

So the remaining HD channels on Sky that are not on BT TV are:

Sky Atlantic HD
Sky 1 HD
Sky Living HD
Sky Arts HD
FOX HD
Sky Sports 3,4,5 & F1 HD
Sky Sports News HQ HD
Sky News HD
Sky Cinema HD
BT TV not about to get these from Sky - BT TV chief has admitted negotiations have gotten nowhere.

ITV Encore HD
Part of a four year exclusive partnership between ITV & Sky so BT won't be getting this anytime soon either.

ITV 2 HD
ITV 3 HD
ITV 4 HD
E4 HD
More 4 HD
Film 4 HD
Possible but as BT doesn't have any existing agreement with ITV or C4 for carriage of their channels (the SD variants on BT TV are there by virtue of FTA DTT) unlikely soon just for HD..

Star Plus HD
NHK World HD
Daystar HD
S4C HD
No distribution agreements with BT, although not beyond belief that S4C HD could one day appear in Wales if they got subsidised.

TCM HD
Good Food HD
Dave HD
Eden HD
Disney Channel HD
Disney Junior HD
Disney XD HD
CN HD
Nickelodeon HD
Nickjr HD
Boomerang HD
Now these are the ones to watch at some stage as their SD equivalents are already provided under existing agreements, particularly the UKTV three (Good Food, Dave & Eden) which are the ones we are expecting in October as part of the recent BT / UKTV renewed carriage contract.

This is great news, I think people expect HD content now, I found some old 'BBC HD' content on my Humax the other day, which made me remember how amazing HD was when launched !

Remember the HD scenes of an Ice Cream van in a park ?

No - but seeing that the Sky Contract for these HD channels ran from 4/10/10 I would guess not before the anniversary tomorrow.

What's the channel numbers for the new HD channels for they are not shown up n my G4 box. I'm on the BT TV Entertanment Max package.
I would also like to have an HD version of TCM in time plus one or two more non HD channels that BT don't aleady have.
Also how much room as there left on the Youview system is there between 300 and 599 for anymore channels.
Edit: Just did a retune and the new HD channels are now shown up and working.
Last time HD channels got added I never had to a retune they just showed up on the box.

I have them now. It seems the Youview box only auto retunes when in deep sleep mode so if you don't have the eco settings to high you'll need to wait until the next day until you see any new channel additions.

It's good to see H2 HD on BT TV as I'm not sure if there is an H2 HD version on Sky.
Hope more improvements are made to BT TV and Youview in the run up to Christmas.
