LG G4 Engineering Menu Help

Ok, So i went and brought a used LG G4 so that I could do geeky stuff like locking my phone to different bands etc, like in Pedros videos.
Unfortuately the handset i purchased wont do said stuff well not on LTE I can put in the special code *#546368#8815# and all the hidden menu stuff comes up but when i select say RAT setting 4G Only in a known 4G area ( even when i have 4g on the screen) all i get is a spinning icon next to where the signal bars should be and no service. The same if I select any 4G band even 20 for Vodafone.
The Handset was originally on THREE whether it came unlocked or someone has unlocked it i dont know but if i use it in the normal ungeeky way it does go onto 4G.
Also TELINFO app launches but comes up 'not allowed' or something simmilar so icant locked the band like that either. As I know of at least two other people who are happlly using the hidden features im quite dissapointed I wonder if anyone has any ideas as if i cant get it to work it will soon be on ebay.

heres Pedros video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt9TAnnEMRs

Try flashing an unbranded kdz. I've only been able to lock bands/RATs when on unbranded or EE firmware, when I use a Three firmware I'm unable to lock them. So i choose between Three VoLTE or advanced network testing.

As Denco said, must be to do with that three software as my G4 and 1 other I had knocking around both worked fine, even on different firmware versions, if your able to do it flash it with a standard unbranded firmware version, or else sell it and get an unlocked version.

I'm able to lock bands just fine on my Three branded G4. On the latest v20h update.

Good to hear. I've only tried locking bands on V10e, I haven't tried V10f or any marshmallow kdz.
