I actually hate the launch show when they pair them up, I have to watch through my fingers even when I'm not invested. It just gets more cringeworthy with the fewer pros that are left standing. Wish they would do it via VTs like they used to years ago.
I would translate the post as Neil not setting a good impression but AJ is!
I know that quite a few people have been unimpressed with him on Twitter, I have to admit to feeling the same way, putting it down to over-excitement. Maybe he's the same way in the training room??

You may be right Patch, there are about four of them around the same (smaller) height so there might be a bit of competition there. I did think the two youngest ones might have a different role so this blows my theory out of the water!
Cross that Gio was obviously cropped out of those photos with Georgia in the tweet above. You can see a bit of his arm! Hope we get to see the full pics.

AJ is going to get the young soap star/ singer I would have thought. They try to get that type of contestant every year the young girl role. Georgia had that role last year.

I'm sorry to report that my chances of appearing on Strictly have somewhat diminished recently ... irreconcilable differences. Unfortunately there was a small 'incident' in a meeting with producers in which I (quite bluntly some might say) expressed fully my opinions with regards to some events that took place last year that I wasn't entirely happy about. I have had a feeling that Neil might not get a celeb. Maybe that's why he came in so late since he didn't want to sign up under those terms but they persuaded him in the end because they want him to do some numbers with his wife and also help with the choreography. I'm guessing AJ will probably get one of the young Eastenders either past or present. In this week's Hello mag there is a photo of Lorna Fitzgerald who plays Abi in Eastenders, with Ola at some charity ball - don't know if that's a clue although I doubt Ola would have any privileged information. She's quite young and fairly short so she could be a good one for AJ.

I know what you mean. I think it'll be a particularly awkward moment for the celebs, it must be nerve wracking enough waiting to get paired up (you'd always hare a few you desperately didn't want and a few you desperately did!) let alone having to make small talk with Tess!

I agree. I know very little about him so am inclined to reserve judgement but first impressions haven't been good - that fat suit dance, comments about how all the pros would want Laura Whitmore, rather childish at best, quite insensitive as worst!
