Naga seems to have a thing for Karen according to the papers and wouldn't mind being paired with her if it was allowed. I wonder if this means that there is already a plan for Kevin and Karen to both have north west partners and they have already met to make plans. Probably completely wrong.

From what I've heard, they mostly match on personalities. Apart from the obvious height thing being taken into consideration, of course. But these couples have to, potentially, be together day in day out for up to 5 months, more if they do the tour so Strictly want them to get on

I think its a case of so many people knowing so many people. And because we know when Strictly is, people who quit shows or don't re-sign up for things, for that time period, makes people wonder why. For example when Laura quit 'I'm a celebrity get me outa here now' there had to be a reason. The show is aired during Strictly. So even without anything else there's a rumour right there. But all the people that work on the show would have been asking why, someone somewhere down the line would have heard it was Strictly (or possibly Strictly.) Same goes for other contestants.

People in the showbiz world know people and then those people know people and things do get leaked out and passed around.

I remember reading in The Sun (from Dan Wootton) that there had been a bust up between Georgia and Sean, in the hotel, after the Strictly wrap party. This was way before anything came out.
I also read (and wrote it on the previous thread) that he reported they were house hunting, together, in London. That was also before they gave that interview saying that.

So yes. People know things and eventually they get leaked

Ahh, that's good news. I understand from the main board that Neil is sitting out so I wonder if when they signed up AJ and Chloe they said that it might only be one of them who got a partner depending on whether the last minute Olympian that I bet they were hanging on for, ended up being a man or woman. Not that Chloe or AJ would necessarily get the Olympian obviously but just that it would dictate whether they needed 8 female pros and 7 male pros (which is what it should in theory have been if following the alternating pattern of the last few years) or vice versa.

And as the source on the main board has said that it looks like AJ will have a partner, then maybe the 15th celeb ended up being a woman. That would explain why Neil, AJ and Chloe were announced later. Neil alluded (at the time his wife was announced) to being in discussions re a role, and for AJ and Chloe it would still be worth both signing up. I'm sure that all will have partners next year as I'm convinced that it will be Anton's last year and probably Brendan's too. I think Anton will be desperate for the judge role but if he doesn't get it, I can't see him carrying on

I've not looked at the link but I can confirm that he def was playing the drums in the paso. Someone who attended that show mentioned it in the comments section on Monkseal's blog. They said that he was checking it was all set up properly for him during the VT and that he definitely played them but not the first few bars, in case he messed up the introduction (the band's drummer would have been playing anyway too), and if you rewatch it with that in mind you can see when he stops fake playing and starts properly playing

I seem to remember there was a few rumours about Georgia and had been since she left Corrie, or perhaps when it came out that she was going to leave - so it's similar in a way to the example of Laura given above.

But NDD is right, Georgia was never reported to be in it with such certainty as has been the case with many celebs this week.
