That is really lovely except last I heard she was going to have a blonde wig and in this trailer she has dark hair like Audrey !

Yes, you've hit the nail on the head - it's supposed to be her interpretation of the character and changing hair colour seems to almost work against that ... unless she requested it of course, but I highly doubt that!

I think it said that the 2 pros who sit out will be new ones, but not that all the new ones won't get partners. It sounds from the source on the main forum that it's possibly Neil and Chloe who won't get partners (the source has said that Neil isn't getting a partner but hasn't confirmed who the 2nd pro is). But I could be wrong!

I was thinking that AJ is quite short so anyone with him might look too tall - but I didn't bank on them signing up Claudia who is 4 ft 6! He's going to tower over her, even in heels! I bet it's him though - as soon as he was announced I thought that they must be lining him up for someone really young, and at 18, I just can't see her with anyone else.

I think I want Gio with Anastacia - just because it seems like he's a fanboy! I like Louise, but I think she might be a bit bland and so not very popular. I suspect Anastacia could go either way - people will love her or find her a bit full on - but I think she has the scope to be more interesting than someone like Louise or Laura.

Yes my latest fave for a Gio partner would be Anastacia but I still wouldn't mind Louise !
Laura is the one I hope he doesn't get as the tabloids would have a field day with that !

Hi Jen! Yes, the launch show where they pair them up is being filmed on Wednesday 31st August but not transmitted until Saturday 3rd September. There will hopefully be someone in the audience who will spill the beans late on that Wednesday though - as I can't resist a spoiler!

The producers will probably have a pretty clear idea already as to who they are putting together, but the source on the main board said that changes to this can be made even as late as an hour before the filming starts! Presumably rehearsals for the group dance will be earlier that week - and that might firm up some pairings (we all know how well Georgia and Giovanni hit it off at that rehearsal - and I bet that blew any ideas of putting her with Kevin, or anyone else for that matter, out of the water!)

I don't 'know' Jen but last year didn't Gio tweet a 'well done' message to Georgia around the end of August? So I'm assuming they start launch show rehearsals a week, two weeks before?

They can't have met yet as the pros are sending congratulations tweets to the celebs that are announced and it was said in the one about Anastacia, that Janette/Gio can't wait to meet her.

I recon the pairings are done on paper long before they meet. They probably have 2 or 3 celebs for each pro and then they make a final decision after seeing who gels in the training

From last year, it seemed like Georgia's options were Kevin/Tristan or Gio. I take it there was no doubt over who to pair her with after her and Gio met

Georgia was lucky she did not get Tristan - do not think she would have made final with him (he doesn't work hard enough) - he is lovely person but a bit lazy on the teaching side imo

I heard from reliable source that Kevin looked really good with Georgia dance and height wise but pesonality and look Gio/Georgia - Kevin / Kellie far better besides the age gap too for that reason and Claudia's age reckon she will get AJ. So think they take a few factors into consideration starting with height, age (when celeb is young) , look and dancing for that reason think Anastacia won't be partnered with Gio and that Laura and Louise (of the ones we know) more likely

If Gio is paired with Anastacia there is the risk that he would just spontaneously combust with excitement and then Georgia would have to seek comfort with Anton.

I can understand your view point about Anastacia Bendy.
I have no clue on the dancing side or in terms of personality as I don't know much about Laura but visually I think Gio and Laura would have the "wow" factor. The only reason I am not keen on this pairing is, as others on here have said on here, that the media will be keen to "stir" things up about the strictly curse and it will bring out the nasty people again which would be such a shame.
Still it's the producers who have the final say. I just pray they make a good decision and whoever it is they are the right partner for Gio


Interesting tweet that Jo Clifton has just made. She says it's her last day off until July 2017 and she has something exciting to announce in 10 days time. I think she must have at least some days off, but it must be something big if it takes her through to the middle of next year!!

For the pro dances last year they tended to rotate partners so, if it's the same this year, it makes no difference for the actual show, it'll be all the cash earning extras he'll need to find a partner for, pah! However, unless it's a touring show, it isn't likely to last forever.

I tried to work it out the other day and I think he must've been about 50 when he took part. That Charleston is tiring even to watch let alone perform - but I do love the styling, theme and music, and as you say for an 'older' man to perform with such energy and intensity is quite something!
