Now the Olympics are over I am really missing the Strictly Prom - I usually watch the odd Prom night if they catch my eye but because of the Strictly one I have been seeing them all listed out neatly and have watched more than ever !

Today is the start if the celeb pro rehearsals where they meet each other for the 1st time. Janette said on her video on twitter last night and Greg Rutherford tweeted it was.

Georgia tweeted on the 26th last year it was the celeb pro meet and it was on the 26th Gio tweeted her saying well done. Twitter won't let me go back that far now to link it. I remembered the day as it was a significant day for me also.

So on Friday it will be a year since GG met

Yes, I think he best lay off the singing especially if he gets her as his partner - saying that I don't think she's the type of person who would shy away from telling him to shut up!

Either would be fine for me too! Until we see how well they can dance it's difficult to make judgements about how far people will go - but at the moment, it seems that Anastacia has the edge in terms of popularity, and I should imagine has a larger fan base than Louise to begin with.

Yes hopefully Georgia will get to go to the launch show - I doubt she'll be able to attend any of the others what with her going straight from BAT into the Rocky Horror Show. One thing's for certain, she definitely won't be "sitting at home miserable" as she claimed she would on one of the final VTs last year!

I saw the John Wilson Prom live and it was excellent as ever - very good singing. It struck that it would be great if Strictly and John Wilson combined. A lot of the songs he does are from musicals and have a gap in the singing in the middle where there is obviously some dancing. I would be great to have a couple of Strictly pros come on and do a turn.


Maybe if he sees Louise in that dress in will put him off her completely! I don't know what Vicky Gill was thinking dressing an attractive woman like her in a beach towel!


Somebody has replied to Georgia's tweet today by saying "the first day meeting their future lovers"! Georgia just replied with a thumbs up and then the guy had the sense to tweet "Just kidding, love you really". I'm thinking he got a very rude tweet from someone else and maybe didn't want to figure as a twitter troll!.

Bless Kevin, someone on Twitter has commented that it's his turn for a duffer. He's replied that he thinks they are all great and he doesn't mind who he gets. I wonder whether they will give him Lesley or whether she will go with Anton. It would be fun to see her with Kevin but I can't see anyone else who wouldn't be wasted on Anton!

On the main board there is a 'predict the pairings' thread and the most common suggestions for Gio seem to be Tameka and Anastacia, with a few mentions of Louise and Naga.

I confess to always being a little mystified when people say that Kevin is due a duffer.
Fair enough, Frankie would definitely have been regarded as likely to get to the final, but I don't think that Susanna or Kellie would've been regarded as such. So surely the fact he's got to three finals says more for his teaching than anything else!
