yes, Guildford is a lovely town, by the way, several years ago, I lived in Hull for a year when my husband was working there, which meant that we saw a lot of my in laws who lived in Leeds at the time

I seem to remember "Bognor" was quite popular last year during the Strictly season

I agree, Concorde was a superb sight, they have one at Brooklands Museum which I've been in and I was surprised at how small it was inside ...... it's quiet here today but we often have planes flying over every three minutes, last Thursday the last plane went over at 11.45 pm, then a huge, very noisy, helicopter started circling overhead, with red and green lights on it and I found out on Friday that it was an air ambulance trying to find somewhere to land because there had been an "incident" near our local railway station !

It is so interesting, I read a lot of it yesterday - it has great photos which made me realise how accurate the Victoria Wood film was - costume wise and how close they got to the original people when casting.
I have already had to resort to the kleenex !
Thank you so much for telling me about it

you only paid 1p + p & p

I'm so pleased you like it, as it's a risk recommending a book to a person I've never met

as the mother of sons I can really relate to some of Nella's comments about her sons and can't imagine how she would have felt when they had to go to war
