I agree, Concorde was a superb sight, they have one at Brooklands Museum which I've been in and I was surprised at how small it was inside ...... it's quiet here today but we often have planes flying over every three minutes, last Thursday the last plane went over at 11.45 pm, then a huge, very noisy, helicopter started circling overhead, with red and green lights on it and I found out on Friday that it was an air ambulance trying to find somewhere to land because there had been an "incident" near our local railway station !

Oh shame I must of misunderstood and thought it was in Wantage. I've been to Northampton twice and sadly it doesn't have the romantic charm of Oxford! In that case I hope Georgia is at home getting well and Gio joins her soon 😁

He's actually doing rather well. Got him used to the music now and he's working on finding his own beat and rhythm. And I even made t-shirts - thought following in the footsteps of Team GG seemed like a good idea

Do we get many pro-Latin and ballroom dancers from our coloured community, the reason I ask just looked at a junior championship pics that Gio is Judging at, not 1 coloured kid in the pictures sorry I'm curious please give your insight.

Well this is for Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire - the shires in fact !
Where traditionally not many people originally from the far reaches of the 'British Empire' have settled.
Or many EU immigrants I should think - although the people who live there are all terrified by the hoards of immigrants they have been told are about to invade them and no doubt all voted Brexit !

If this was a schools competition in any of the Cities in the UK there would be lots of black faces.

Perhaps Bendy can tell us if she doesn't mind if there are many people of Asian or Afro-Carribean origin now learning ballroom dancing.

I know there are a lot in dance and drama schools and colleges as you would expect in a multi racial society.
Check out the casts of most Musicals in the West End to see what I mean.

fantastic partnership and work so well together. Georgia really worked hard for him didn't she?

Perhaps it's cynical but I can't help thinking that they do pick the couples with half an eye on who's going to generate publicity for the show through picking up tabloid headlines. And if that played any part in the pairing of G and G this year then I'm not going to complain!!


You're right, inevitably a lot of factors will come to play. In all likelihood what you have is some producers in a room watching all the celebs dancing with different pros, and quite often they'll be able to see just from that if a celeb and a pro 'match' - and it's often probably quite difficult to define how.
