Nina - you could be right, that's what I was wondering too but it's hard to reconcile with the declarations of love from him just a week ago. Maybe that wasn't the full picture. And that whatever he felt just wasn't enough for him. I just hope they are both clear on how they feel, so that there are no misunderstandings, lack of communication or hurt pride getting in the way if they do still have feelings for each other

Just woke up and came back to find the nightmare didn't go away it wasn't just a bad dream it happened my heart is broken. I like so many of you have never felt like this about any other celeb couple or as you say invested my time and love for them.I loved Artem and Kara but nothing to this extent,I just feel bereft ,its like losing a person you love all over again but doubley so ,just hope they resolve it but can't see it not after Gio deleted everything that was the finality of it to him, oh what a bloody shame

I don't really think Georgia needs to regret that tweet. After all it is just a picture of a broken heart when she was feeling emotional. She went on a mad night out trying to forget her troubles but it didn't work. Been there and done that!! Georgia has always used twitter and insta to express herself. It's just her way.
But yes I do agree that she needs to be expressing herself to Gio privately but maybe she is unable to do that at the moment for whatever reason. I feel for her.

At a time of high emotion, it's best, I think, to express yourself in the way which is right for you.

I don't think she's wrong to post a tweet like that either. People just deal with things in different ways. I do think it would be silly if that's how she's trying to get his attention or reach out to him. Just contact him! I wouldn't be surprised if they are in contact though - I can't imagine they've severed all communication

Unfortunately unless they split up over work or something like that there is not a lot she can talk to him about. If he doesn't feel the same you cannot force something and it is the worst basis for a relationship. If they got back together and that was the reason it would always eat away at her.

I think when he appears on strictly it will just appear as if nothing's happened but I do hope if he gets someone like Laura he is not at all flirty with her and never refers to her as his sister! That would just be terrible for Georgia.

Yes you are right - if they split because his feelings changed then it's one thing, and there isn't much to talk about. But if it was after a row or was over work or was her who instigated it but now regrets it, then hopefully they are in communication

I have my own idea about what has happened . I think they have had a row about who knows what, she has finished it and he has agreed then in the heat of the moment, but without calming down and thinking about it she has issued the statement and hurt Gio by it so he has then taken the action he has reacting by deleteing his Instagram photos of her a bit tit for tat and completely finalised it . We have all been there doing something to hurt then regreting it after you calm down. I hope when they do calm down they realise what they have lost. I keep thinking of some photos I saw of Jo after she split with the love of her life when she lived in Italy it was so sad , maybe something similar heppened to her so she would be a good one to advise them as she seems close to them both and it must be hard for her to see this happening again to two people who love each other and it took her a long time to find someone else.

Yes Maddy I agree with this I think Gio was hurting and deleted the pictures. Didn't someone say he did it a midnight so maybe he was drunk It must be hard for the pros as they are friends with them both however Jo especially knows Gio for a long time and maybe doesn't want to get involved.

My thoughts are Georgia will carry on using social media as its getting her attention from
her fans & that's always been her way, think if she said nothing at all fans would be more worried.

I think they still love each other but I believe neither of them at this young age want to compromise on their careers. I think this was a very big sticking point & that isn't going to change so I don't think they will get back together sadly because the ' elephant in the room' is still there!!

It may be cynical to think Georgia's tweets Instagrams etc are publicity for her; but they are & that's the way she works!!

I'm sure she is heartbroken & she may never have another love like this one but...................

You are never going to get Georgia off Social Media - it is second nature to her to tweet away - in the present circumstances I wish she would give us a few more insights into what is going on.

I also wonder if it ended with a catastrophic row when things were said and done that couldn't then be unsaid and undone.

But with regard to what happens next, let's not forget, Gio is a dancer who has won national competitions. A key part of being successful is the ability to deal with negative times by sorting out what you need to learn from a situation, taking it on board and then moving on. We saw how he does this in SCD last year. It's this emotional resilience that helped G & G be so successful and it's a big part of what he helped her with during their relationship.

Gio has a very good agent who is also a good friend and is probably helping him now with a damage limitation exercise which will involve keeping things professional and cool headed and not getting involved in any public exchanges.
As Pam says when he goes on SCD it will be as Gio the professional dancer with his charming flirty style underpinned by a strong desire to win.

I hope that Georgia has someone who can give her the professional support she needs now as well as the emotional support. The media shouldn't get any more ammunitition to use about her personal life. I know using it is a big part of who she is, but I think it could do more harm than good at this stage, especially if the press end up in charge of the story.

Also agree that Georgia should stay off social media for a while. Its not the right thing to do - I'm not blaming her, shes clearly heartbroken and reacting in a very typical way but it won't help, especially with her being in the public eye. Not sure if shes irked at the fact people are assuming she is the one finishing it and wants to get across that shes not, or shes just came home tipsy and posted from the heart, perhaps wanting Giovanni to see it (I'm more inclined to think its the latter) but it won't help. Of course so many of us loved GG but if they have broken up and at least one of them (if not both) know its not going to work, they have to move on. Perhaps I sound brutal, but given the intensity of their relationship and the fact I think Georgia is still in love, they have to have a clean break and forget about friendships or contact for now. I know thats horrible to think of as a GG fan, but its the only way they can properly grieve the ending and get over it. IMO you can't be friends so soon from being in a relatinship and in love, you need time apart to heal properly. If one or both are still in love the friendship thing will only confuse things at this stage and perhaps even make them cling to possiblilites that aren't there. I know this is sad for a GG fan to think about, but if they have split, I can only think of whats best for them both as individuals now

We know from other photographs and tweets etc that they spent a day with the Zilli family and an evening with the rest of the Strictly Professionals.
In all of them they look very happy - in all of them he has his arms around Georgia.

So why would they decide to break up a week later ?
He was spending long days training for Strictly and meeting the new celebs.
She was fully participating in welcoming every new celeb, learning lines and giving a radio interview about BAT in which she showed concern that she was so busy that she wasn't going be able to organise Xmas.

Did they sit down and work out that they were not going to be free to support each other over the Autumn and Winter ?
Could he not make her opening nights ?
Was the original plan to go to Sicily for Xmas which was now not possible since she had signed to do Rocky Horror ?
The only free time for them both would be a week in January before he started rehearsals for the Strictly Tour.

Whatever became a sticking point had in some way to be work related - He was very exhausted from long rehearsals and I think Georgia was stressed about BAT etc.
She put an old photograph of them together on instagram saying he was her 'favorite human being' - like she was reassuring him that he was that important to her.

The next thing we know she is on a train saying they were breaking up and would now be friends ... she let it become obvious she wasn't happy about that.

Late at night the first thing he deleted from Twitter before he cleaned out his instagram was her tweet about Rocky Horror which he had retweeted !

So it is all a great puzzle but the one thing I am sure about is that they are still very much in love with each other (You don't stop feeling the way he does about her in a week) - they are just acting out their hurt in different ways.
One of them will surely give way on whatever is the deal breaker - for once Lewis and I are soul mates on this thread as we appear to be the only ones who think they will obviously get back together.

I agree with you both. whether it's his choice or not I think he's all out and has too much going on with SCD to have the time or the emotional strength to deal with it.

I know its confusing for us Sandy I think the truth is we just don't know nearly enough from pics. All those pics would be genuine, but a pic of them together smiling does not represent their whole relationship. They are a normal couple and we have to look it that way. I don't see them walking about in blissful romantic love all the time, with one out of the blue arguement that finished it. Neither do I see them having been miserable and putting up fake pics. It will have been a normal relatinship where they have fun, go out, have romantic times, tell each other they love each other - and in amongst this there will be 'issues' - areas of disagreement that they will bicker about, argue about, resolve and move on, just like every couple. People on the main board are criticising them about them only sharing the good parts - well of course they do - everyone does! Even back in the day - would you have an photo album of your family arguements or a family pic of you cuddling and smiliing. Theres nothing false about it, its just what you do. They're not going to post a pic of them in the middle of a disagreement, to me thats just normal, I don't know why those on the main board are critising them for this?

I'm not saying they had a bad relationship or anything, just a normal one which I'm sure had areas of disagreements and I think its normal that we wouldn't get to hear of it, and its normal they'd post pics of when they were having good times. I don't think its difficult to believe that there may have been some issues that perhaps were ignored because they wanted it to work, or dealt with but got worse or more of an issue with time till finally it came to a head. It doesn't mean that in between this they weren't having the good times that we saw. You can have feelings that are very strong - truly love the person. That doesn't mean you might have different ideas about how to be in a relationship - ie what you expect from your partner, how you behave in a relationship. I'm probably not explaining myself very well but what I mean is - it could be a practical cirucmstance like work - I just feel their feelings were too strong for them to allow that to split them up, but who knows. It may not be attributed to an external thing that can easily be fixed - it could be problems they have amongst themselves as a relationship - even if they love each other. You can love each other, and have the personalities that are suited well together in terms of having fun, but that doesn't mean they might have different characters who expect different things from each other and that might become more of an issue with time, for example. Alternatively, maybe one of them just slowly fell out of love and wanted a clean break and there were no issues as such. I just feel if we look at them as a normal couple, we know that you can be out having fun and great times and tell each other you love each other, but at the same time have some issues between you and argue about stuff in between and these issues may get worse with time. Its just not normal for anyone to post that side so we never see it.

As sad as it sounds, I can't help but feel it has to something more than a trivial thing for them to break apart - whether its only from one of them or not, and only they know the reasons. None of us will probably ever know the reasons but there has to be reasons and if they could both work it out I'm sure they would

Sorry Dee I hope I didn't offend anyone with my Manchester comment. I just meant her friends are from a different time in her life and she's changed since moving. It's like when I left home to go to university (a very long time ago) and had to grow up and learn to do things myself.
