Trying to put myself in Gio's shoes for moment, I can sort of understand why he is deleting comments. He is going through a probably very painful breakup whilst trying to focus on a huge time in his life with strictly and he keeps getting hundreds of comments asking him about it.
I don't think he is deliberately trying to upset people, especially the well meaning ones. Anyway been out and about in Brighton today, wandered past the Theatre Royal and looked for BAT advertising outside (I'm going on the first night) but nothing yet. Unfortunately I also went past Ann Summers and was not able to avert my eyes in time from James Jordan's sex face emblazoned across the window. It was a bit too soon after lunch

We used to do this regularly ith Ali & Brian and send them to the theatre on openinh nights or birthdays .

Wow! He doesn't look good does he! I'm sorry if I speak out of term here (just my opinion) but I feel so cross if he chose a TV show over Georgia that is only Part of his life for half the time. 20 years down the line will it matter! My husband lived in a different country for over a year when we first got together. Again I'm so to put it all on him but I don't believe it was a joint decision. Just not buying it! So is he confirming that he still loves her? Why the hell cant they have that AND careers for god's sake! Grrr. He won't be on Strictly for ever. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn't have juggled.
Sandy I was only an occasional lurker at the time of the night that you mention and so never saw that video but subsequently read all your discussions about it. I didn't think the club was that bad - but that's maybe as I've only been to a few work dos there (wrap parties and Christmas parties etc) so never on a normal night

Well that is a better one to be liking - please note that it mentions careers !
You can usually depend on Gio to tell you what is going on - he always has.
I rest my case that I have been making for two days about the reasons for this break up being work related.
They both want the others full support and it just isn't possible - we know he sulks if she isn't there for him and she would want him at her first night at the very least so crisis time.
I just feel I need to repeat that no one stops loving someone like he loves Georgia overnight - years of separation wouldn't stop him feeling the way he does,
Those photographs he carefully deleted, but everyone has access to via the media (and me on my lap top still), just absolutely show how much he loves her - he can remove the photographs but he can't remove the feelings.
I think he loved first and fell hardest but I believe Georgia when she said her love was forever ... several times.
Give them a few days not being together and see what happens - they will compromise because that will be better than losing each other,

I don't think that he looks well at all. His face looks thinner and his eyes dark. Maybe he has put a filter on it.
You can still make a relationship work and have extremely successful careers. My hubby and I have spent over 2 1/2 years apart in our 20 years together sometimes going 4-5 months without seeing each other. You make it work. If you truly love someone you both have to make massive sacrifices sometimes and you can't expect them to be at home waiting for you each night, cooking, cleaning and only willing to socialise with your friends!
Just wondering what type of press Gio will get this year. Christina had awful things said about her when her strictly relationships broke down and the poor girl was clearly just looking for love. Let's see how they "brand" our Mr P. As much as I love him my money will be in " Gio the Italian stallion" rather than the more shameful comments made about females.

I know if he started talking about being excited about a 'new journey' days after we broke up I wouldn't be liking it, thats just me!
I appreciate hes talking about strictly, but given the circumstances and context I'd say at the very least the wording was insensitive and unecessary. 'exicted for SCD' would be more appropriate imo.

I don't think there is any doubt he still loves her wicks.
The multi million dollar question is why isn't it enough to try and save the relationship?
I really wish I knew the answer to that question
