I agree Chris, not a very good picture - you would have thought he would have learned how to take a good selfie by now living with Georgia, the queen of selfies. He does look a bit miserable but if he had posted a pic with a big smile he would be accused of being uncaring. Perhaps he's hoping people will feel sorry for him. Anyway I agree the message was certainly insensitive. He won't have Georgia around to vet or write his tweets for him from now on so he may find himself misunderstood in the weeks to come.

Unfortunately I had a similar experience last week, I had the misfortune to pick up now magazine in the staff room last week and there was a 4 page Jordans spread in that - I saw pictures I really didn't need to see while eating my dinner.

Nice Instagram from Georgia! Fantastic pre-emptive strike - if he gets paired with Laura, she's already diffused some of the press's initial lines of attack. I knew they were friendly but the timing of this meet up is good. And she's having a night out in London with girlies - good for her!

LIke you I always thought it was work related and I think the rocky horror show was what brought it to a head. Neither of them know how long their careers will last he is one stubborn man .How can you love someone as they both do and turn all cold hearted like that .Lets hope he gets his act together .he needs a good kick up you know what.

Wow! 6 instagrams in less than 2 days - that's a record even for her! Great to see her showing that she's not moping but getting on with life. It's also good that she has a group of girlie friends to have fun with. They look like they're having a great time while poor misunderstood Gio is moping around the Strictly studio taking sad selfies and going home to an empty flat and a tin of tuna! I wonder where Georgia is staying - it wouldn't surprise me if she was staying in Jo's flat. Jo seems very loved up with her boyfriend judging by their adorable instagrams and is probably living full time with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was sleeping on Jo's sofa or similar for the next few weeks until Georgia goes on tour in a few weeks, and then maybe he'll stay there till the end of the year. But yes, it would be great if they could have a heart to heart

I still think this is a "stress fracture" and related to them facing a perfect storm of hard work and conflicting priorities and not being able to be around for each other at times when they feel they need some reassurance and support. Especially difficult when it's been hot and they couldn't sleep well.
We still don't know what the triggering thing was. It could have come from either one and then ultimatums were issued and then suddenly you've split up. The RHS over Christmas could have ruined some carefully made plans or surprises about treats or holidays - we just don't know.
We do know that they are using different ways of dealing with it. (And we have to respect that, even if we don't agree with it.)
I think Gio looks as if he's still quite shocked. To echo the thought expressed upthread let's cut him some slack. As Jenster said he's not the devil (we know what he looks like in Georgia's life). He was very caring, patient and supportive during their relationship, just as Georgia was for him, and they did make each other happy.

It's really easy to feel annoyed and frustrated with him at the moment isn't it - I know I do! But I guess for all we know, he could be utterly miserable and desperate to sort it out. I don't blame her at all for her social media activity - I think it's totally fine - but it has tipped the scales in perceptions that he's in some way to blame

As many have said - it is likely to be more complicated than either of them being the one to just call it quits. It could be that she did, but based on something that he did or didn't do, or vice versa. Who knows. I feel desperately sorry for both of them

I think Gio's latest instagram pretty much shows he's miserable - he looks drained and very tired with those bags under his eye. It really did make me feel sad looking at it.

It really is so hard when you like and support them both and just want them to be happy.
